Our latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with QuotedData's Edward Marten has just been released. Listen here.
2 litres suggests big lawn, big lawn suggests big house, big house suggests bid bank balance. So what's the problem. It's the folk with little lawns, or no lawn at all that I worry for. Ride it out.
...................................or pehaps a Nightmare last night. It went something like this:
A small number of people in the management pinnacle of Hurricane Energy were gathered together in the office of its largest shareholder trying to convince each other that the running of the organisation was becoming too much hassle and that probably the best thing to do was to let the thing just run down. The argument was that by doing nothing and simply waiting for good old well 6 to die a sudden death, predicted around 2024/25, they could then get their hands on a enormous share of whatever had accrued in the Company account over that period. Eventually they all agreed it was the way ahead but somehow they had to fathom out a run down that would exclude categorically any shareholder benefits whatsoever. Suddenly I woke up and nearly fell out of bed when one of them suggested they should recruit the leader of last year's attempt to prize 95% worth of shareholder value away from them and then, guess who stuck his hand up to confrm his availability?
I say again it was only a dream.
Fair comment. I hope you're right.
What was it you said yesterday about this share and the price of oil.
Fortunately the sellers ain't playing.
winalot: 'Same problem today, can only get a live quote for 10 shares!'
I tell you: The MMs are storing them up to fill a large buyer's order. We Herberts will have to wait.
Why is Tullow Oil imune from all of that then?
I suppose we'll all benefit from that. Except that weak kneed lot who are selling up right now. Bless them.
When their favourite customer has his new low cost shares he will order the CEO to push out the most positive RNS you've ever seen in your life. Jus a thought.
The Market Makers are quite obviously bringing this down for their favourite buying customer. Perhaps someone who is contemplating selling the Company and would like to have as many shares as possible. Sold at a much higher price than where we are at today.........................Just a thought.
Ask laser.
MyLuck: " Saying that I'm stuck in a few."
So what was the rest of your spiel all about then?
Are we heading for the RED just like every other excellent RNS day.
Yes, and I'm nunder where I would like to be too.
I know what one of them does: He writes RNS' patting himself on the back in the hope that we won't throw him out at tha AGM.
Wolf: I gave you a thumbs up for your extreme optimism, well done. If it comes to fruition I will most certainly apologise for suspecting your expert knowledge on these matter. Take care.
.................................. knock me down with a feather, did he mention SHAREHOLDERS, there?
Good stuff that senseman. My biggest fear is that when oil hits $150 per barrel our one and only producer will have conked out. Laser, hurry up, and find me a hole maker, please.
pic: "Those on this forum and who saw the court proceedings will know about sesnseman and his heroics. I am filtering you out VanNuts!!!!"
I've just asked the moderator to get rid of him and pointed out that he has absolutely nothing to properly engage in on the Board.
BP: "And it is happening everywhere. It is dividing (and conquering) those that even appear to have a commonality in life, in this case, the success for HUR going forward."
Without the devine efforts of Crystal Amber, aided and abetted by kooba from LSE and senseman on here, what is left of HUR would belong almost entirely to a group of bandits christened bondholders who were being equally being aided and abetted by an extremely corrupt BOD aimed at throwing we shareholders to the lions. Of course CA were the leaders in trying to fight off their wishes but there can be no question that our SENSEMAN got the ear of the High Court Judge, albeit via the Judge's secretary, to such an extent that it is the firm belief of many of us on this Board that the Judge ordered an unforecasted hearing in order to gauge the shareholders interpretation of what the rip off bondholders were trying to achieve. In that respect it is again my belief, though I can't be certain of the exact content, that senseman fed to the Judge information which pointed out either incorrect, or false, details which had been submitted to the Court by the Mafia like Bondholders. In my own mind it was the active effort, undertaken by kooba and senseman, that put doubt in the mind of the Judge about whether the shareholders where being given anything like a fair deal which could easily have led to the decision we were all hoping for. Not sure about this but I'm sure someone here can confirm that the Judge actually commended the shareholders for the fight they put up in order to ensure that this intentional scam failed..............BIG STYLE.
Now, after only 16 posts a newcoming twerp (VanNuys) starts hurling impolite and unecessary abuse at a fellow member, albeit a prolific posters who can set off a raport himself, presumably having little knowledge of how both this Board and HUR could easily have become a thing of the past without his, and others, Bondholder stand.
Senseman won't be everyone's cup of tea, prolific posters will always have someone who can get fed up with them, then there are others who will misinterpret a percieved aire of superiority or education who they cannot wait to challenge. I've lost count of the number of times he has invited those who don't like what he writes to hit the destroy button at the top of the page.
Personally I've made quite a few bob out of this surviving share of late and will always have in the back of my mind that I should be grateful to the part that kouba and senseman played on our behalfs.
