Our latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with QuotedData's Edward Marten has just been released. Listen here.
J'ai 700000 actions et je vote NON !!!
I have to say that this is probably a futile gesture but I have 700000 of these bloody, damned, useless, nerve wracking, unbearable shares, bought the day after Trice informed us all that beneath the sea he had found 2 billion barrels of black gold that would only cost about 62p each. However, if you want them Boys, you can have them. LOL
Something brewing, at last. I cannot wait to get rid of HUR.
easyp: " Where will Radcliffe source his oil and gas from and at what price?"
From the sale of Marcus Rashford football shirts of course.
......................................pray to God that the only known offer to buy HUR for 7.7p per share, submitted in my view, by the old Ad Hoc group of rotten Bondholders, still remains on the table. This opinion is based on the manner in which our share is being meticulously manipulated down so as to cause such a sell off as to decimate it to its current low value with, I suggest, worse to come. Worse to come, I fear, because of those who may be involved, and have sufficient control, and incentive to fulfil the desire of our old enemy to get their hands on this stitched on MONEYMAKER.
I fear a time where 7.7p a share will become sufficient to satisfy a good number of those, in particular, who got their hands on loads of these things for rock bottom prices, not so long ago. Try 36p, and quite a few!
Yes, of course this is all cods wallop but it often lingers in the back of my mind. How about yours?
I wonder how much the CEO of an Oil Company, wanting to hang on to his/her job for as long as possible, might offer to an Oil Journalist to let the 'world and his wife' know what an absolute 'mess' His/Her Company was in. I suppose it's not beyond the bounds of possibility if it helps to put off any prospective buyer(s). Seems a bit far fetched to me though but all sorts of funny things have crossed my mind lately whilst dealing in oil shares.
No, no, I must be mad. Nothing like the above is ever likely to occur in the Oil Industry...............................................is it?
Daltry:
You're on a six week golfing holiday. So, stick a brand new Pro V1 on a tee peg on the first, take two quick practise swings and then imagine the ball is Maris' head then see how far you can hit. Can't be fun thinking about the current state of our beloved HUR whilst on a golfing holiday but I'll bet you will hit the ball further than you've ever hit it before.
I might give it a try myself this afternoon, could be fun.........................FORE !!!!
Concrete news on Monday will be based on todays closing bid price 0.721p whereby an ebullient Mr Maris will advise us to accept a best bid of 0.077p from those who made the initial offer from those unknown to any of us.
senseman: "Keep posting views with yes or no running total. As we know, Malcy is NOT the oracle"
Maybe not sense but it sounds as though he has some HUR shares.

Yes : 1
No : 10
British: " It looks the markets are preparing for the capital return being given back, that is why sp is coming down"
You could be right British. There have often been occasions when the share seems to be falling without apparent reason. What used to occur during those same occasions would be a notifiable TR1 submitted by 'one' of our largest shareholders in order to get their grubby hands on as many shares as possible in order to manipulate the current beneficial circumstances created by what ever is going on, certainly not anything that we, cannon fodder shareholders, know sod all about.
Wouldn't it be nice if WE could get a couple of million quid's worth of cheap shares 5 minutes before a Capital Reduction, whatever that is, @ 3.1p per share. I could be wrong of course.
asimpleinvestor:
and what was that you said at 14:14?
Need to be careful with that sort of acceptance Daltry, just suppose that sometime next week we get an RNS informing us that the BOD had, solely in shareholder interest, sold the Company for 5p a share.
canetois: "...................................bid, any moment now it will fall bact to 7.62p"
Oh dear !!.........................what do I know. :(
....................................bid, any moment now it will fall bact to 7.62p
flyingpie : "And can someone answer for me exactly why Maris & co have decided the deadline for the sale is suddenly to be 7th January? I never got an answer to that..."
Because they want to get it over and done with before CA can spoil their fun. Their fun will quite obviously contain some eventual form of financial gain for all currently involved in the management of OUR company, even those who were established in the firm at the request (order) of CRS in the hope they would have early insider information leading to them being able to make beneficial decisions. Well, aren't they in for a pleasant surprise...................................................pure speculation on my part and probably a load of bo**ocks at best.
asimpleinvestor: "I used to know one of Tony Buckinghams mates; Colonel Tim Spicer. I fought along side Tim Spicer in the Falklands during my stint in 2 para. Tony came up in conversation from time to time."
At what stage in the Falklands War did you, a member of 2 Para embroiled in trying to take Goose Green, find time for idle chat with Tim Spicer who was doing his best to take Mount Tumbledown with his Scots Guards. Were you seconded to the Jocks. What rank did you hold at that time , a rank of sufficient stature to converse with Spicer on topics whereby the renowned Tony Buckingham, who wasn't ever in the Falklands, cropped up in your chats?
Tim Spicer at that time had no association with any Private Military Organisation, that happened a considerable time after his involvement in the Falklands War so I am surprised that the pair even knew each other.
I was there with JHSU and took my hat off to the bravery of 2 Para, though a somewhat bungled effort leading to the loss of Hugh Jones and others. And in particularly 2nd Bn Scots Guards for their significant losses during their success on Tumbledown.
You must be quite some age, FI war 40 years ago, you must have been more than 20 years old at least when it kicked off given that you would have also spent some considerable time going through 'P' Company, including time learning to tumble. Perhaps you were commissioned via RMAS? The word 'stint' also puzzled me, perhaps you weren't para trained at all, were you an attached chef or an attached REME vehicle mechanic or anything else. Did you receive the South Atlantic Medal?
I returned as the Port Stanley Garrison Quartermaster in 1985 heavily involved in the move from Stanley into the mammoth new build at Mount Pleasant. Arrived a Major left a Lieutenant Colonel. Joined at 15, Junior Leader, given the Grand Order of the Compulsory Retirement Boot at 55 years of age. Never lifted a finger since.
Tell me how you got on.
...................................completely invisible during everything we have been through in the last couple of years. It seems to me that they have forgotten that they have any investment at all in HUR.
I can hit a 2 iron 80 yds.............................................................................................................................
