RE: AEX RNS - Farmout almost complete19 May 2020 09:37
Yes Steve £40,000,000 and millions of fewer shares. Boy how this company has been destroyed. Just a question of one or two making a quick buck here before rapidly moving on i'm afraid.
When you say newsflow is stacking up nicely does that mean, how I see it ' Why the bloody hell don't you tell us something'? Total silence is not helping the cause.
There will be few who have not had a significant loss with AVIVA. Question is how much will they drag back eventually. Unfortunately it looks like many others will make a better recovery as they don't suffer from a total lack of confidence in the bod as with AVIVA.
Doesn't look too good over the last 5 years to me, the dividends the only saving grace. It makes you wonder why no outsiders wanted the CEO post before it was given to a make do stand in.
Have to admit that I was worried when outsiders seemed to be refusing the position so I only have myself to blame for not moving my money then at over 100% of what it is now.
The only people here that are making money are the ones who have been extremely lucky or must have some inside knowledge, which is highly unlikely. Those who see blue at the start of the day and buy in thinking ' This is it' usually end up 10-30% down on the day. Today seems to be no exception.

Almost getting myself too caught up in this as I was wondering when this would level off and turn around so I could invest. Then I thought ' how stupid' there must be dozens of other companies that will make more profit than Aviva when the economic climate improves. Certainly no more money here.
Make sure you complain about the poor performance compared to other similar companies ( LGEN), or they will just say everyone has suffered due to Coronavirus. Why have we suffered much more than others?
