But we probably already knew that the company was not that secure.
The Michael Stephen column on the SYM website mentions an Mn/Fe combination being tested for SYM in France. Silver has bacteriocidal (?) properties and a silver compound is commonly used in plastic fridge liners, as I understand it. There seem to be a number of surface treatments available but haven't heard of other, permanently incorporated formulations.
There are many degrees of presentational skills and impact between those displayed by ML and those of ‘Strictly’ contestants or, indeed, of the egregious Boris. And I don’t attribute the the flaccidity of the event to the web cam although, of course, a more professional setup could have been used.
I did find it rather unfortunate - incompetent, even - that, in the interview, Laurier more than once refers to the results as showing that 99% of the virus was killed in one hour whereas the RNS says 99.9%, a much more significant number.
Interesting interview here but no mention of further testing:

I think that the fairly muted response of the share price reflects the lack of a clear statement in the RNS of what further testing is taking place. I've held SYM shares for a long time and will certainly not be moving on yet but I feel that the SYM management and public relations leave a lot to be desired.
I think I already understood that - all good news - but can you sell a product on the basis that: 'well, me and a couple of other guys think it has the potential to kill the REAL SARS-CoV-2'? Surely, SYM need a definitive answer before sales are going to take off. However, nothing I read tells me what actions SYM are taking to answer the question definitively or how long it's expected to take.
................and if the answer is 'Yes', why on earth don't they say so in plain English in the RNS rather than quote the report's conclusion:
'.... we recommend the use of such products as potential virucidal agents against coronavirus.'
