doesn't the SP fly more if there are no more shares issued.... there's sufficient working capital in the bank from last share issue. Texas has loan finance. ARB 'cross-lists' without a need to issue shares. To attract broader US investor support, they'd prefer a lower entry price than higher. ARB is c.30% of ATH when BTC last hit $58k... and I cannot fathom that so I'm trying to connect some dots... this feels like a litre of coke being shook up and the lid is about to be untwisted...
There's been added insight into reason why potential US investors prefer access to ARB via a US market (thanks Herve + Tc).
@WPol - is not the first question to consider, 'if' any shares will be issued. By way of a cross-listing, there wouldn't be a need to issue shares. Theoretically DPN LLC could be listed with a share issue, making ARB dual-listed, but DPN LLC comes with pre-negotiated debt to finance the facility fit out. As things stand - I wouldn't expect or see a need for any shares to be issued. Do you have a reason to think different ?
Herve - re: run on shares and MM - fair enough. Hypothetically, if you were on point to build the brand with investors in the new market place (acknowledging limited access prior - thanks for added post Tc), wouldn't you and the new market be interested in the price point at the time of market entry ? So from that perspective a run-away price in the short-term would be of interest ??
So a follow-up on punitive tax (which I accept as fair point)... how does that not work against with the OTC market (which seems pretty active) ?
Having set some context with the first two questions, how is pricing determined in the period leading up to "US market". Taking all things together... assuming the "initial" market price in the US was based on the home market (LSE), a run-away price in advance of the US market might dampen appetite ?? So to keep this potential market in the game, you wouldn't want it to be priced out before it had chance to go live ??
Not easy to get answers on Google.... and Alexa was clueless !!
ARB has issued 381.8million.
If the issued shares are to be traded in a "US market", how are these shares in fact split across the markets ?
This could in part be dependent on the listing type. And so how would the appropriate type of listing be determined (dual/secondary/cross) ?
First off - there's a couple - and they may not suit everyone to read. If so, I apologise for that upfront.
Lets start with something simple. I am able to buy TSLA on NASDAQ via HL platform. Why wouldn't any US investor (retails or institutional) who was given the ARB story through an active marketing campaign, simply buy shares on LSE. It would work I presume? So what we should understand are the tangible benefits of a US investor being able to buy in a US market?
Anyone here worked in capital markets and actually been involved with dual listing / secondary listing / cross listing of an LSE listed company in the US ? Real experience needed.
ps this isn't a job ad. I have some Qs in need of As.
I don't believe anyone here is suggesting not to try and make money however you choose to from whichever share you choose. All that's being suggested is to read and to understand the content of the RNS. That way you will make the decisions that are best for you. If you do that and dismiss it, it's your choice and I would be interested to hear your reasoning. I use the BBs to share information not take folk down / ramp / de-ramp.
You've answered your own question... you had access to the information already. So imagine your reaction if they did not repeat it and then conversion kicked-in.... and surprised you ??
that'll sit nicely alongside OTC ARBKF on my favs bar
For your own sake and no-one elses.... read and re-read at least the terms of the conversion and the quantities involved which are material (but you should digest all of the RNS). If you at least see what might happen with the conversion you will appreciate the Exec have issued a very fair RNS and I have respect for them as a result. This is very much DYOR and make decisions for you. There is a genuine note of 'caution' being communicated. What you do with it, is your choice, but do not simply pass it off as a deramp / attempt to 'get your shares'.
@DSFLAT... an interesting question, not solely for Siacoin today but mining other coins in the longer term. And with that, the rig flexibility to switch between networks / coins. The added opportunity that could provide ARB is again... potentially huge if strategic alliances / investments provide access to the necessary tech.
fwiw here's the HODL list / quantity at 31-Dec-19. Should get similar provided mid to late April as at 31-Dec-20.

Indeed - I've kept my word to hold BTC above $58k :-) ... so best of luck on both counts.
Catch you again for some early morning (UK time) news and views. Enjoy lunch !!
Sounds like a reasonable set-up you have.... especially if you're not needing to dip into your ARB HODL to fund the stay !
And with a fair wind, BoJo might have even replenished vaccine supplies by the time of your return. You hearing any news on the return ?
BTC early hours trend looks encouraging - won't mind at all if this continues through to Monday am.
That's a story... if you don't mind, was it business / pleasure... how are you getting by - you doing ok ?
(don't count your chickens on the tax-break - HMRC won't accept unless you're there for longer and for reasons other than covid restrictions)
sounds like a good start to the day... what part to of the world ? ARB a core holding for you ?
will try to hold it above whilst the day crew are Zzz...
@manifesto - the PW vids make it absolutely clear not to call the OTC mkt a "listing" - and he even corrects himself a couple of times.
@Herve - hats off for finding that lot (and sharing). Clearly your the man for KYC and info. introduces a whole new concept of KYS (Know Your Shareholder) ! Definitely earns a Brut Xmas Gift Box if BTC hits $100k by Xmas 21. Fingers crossed for the orange-crop report of our dreams - tired now of the 55s - and wanting 60s and 70s :-) !!
