@Ryan1066- much appreciated - ATB
@Ryan1066 - this whole futures thing caused a wobble(r) yesterday. Could you share source/background ?
@CC after giving your post careful consideration...
improve exposure by adding his n hers knick knacks to the ARB merch ?
RC - agree on PIs.
A promote at some point to the FTSE 350 will give added visibility and spur ARB on some more.
I suspect the financial advantage comes by way of sharing fixed costs and by scaling up the hash, the probability of mining success goes up (by some degree). I would never over look the soft long term scale advantages of working with your competitors in terms of R&D, alliances, M&A etc etc
Great RNS today !!
Aside from the mining pool aspect, less of the humble PW today and more throwing down the gauntlet to competitors. Argo is playing catch-up in some respects (steadily and successfully so) but leading the way in others - ESG is one. And what else is great, Argo has been saying it that environmental is important (see vid. "lean, clean, green" operations, PW vids) and now they are backing this up with action. Big oil is being challenged by IIs to green-up, so this will absolutely enhance ARB appeal to investors of all scale. As well as helping the Argo brand in the US it will support entry to FTSE350 at some point.
Peter Wall, Chief Executive of Argo Blockchain, said: "..... We are hopeful other companies within the Bitcoin mining industry follow in our footsteps to demonstrate broader climate consciousness." By comparison MARA announced an alliance with Beowulf for Hardin power which is "coal" sourced and "exploring" green energy options (Inv.Pres. Mar-21). It will be important for Hardin community reliant on coal industry I understand. https://www.datacenterdynamics.com/en/news/bitcoin-miner-marathon-signs-coal-fired-electricity-montana/
Argo's green credential is cutting edge, and will serve the "brand" well going forward.
May be this pool should be called "Envi-a-pool" ??
@Stna.. the broad principle is the combined hash power of the pool is used to mine. The combined hash scales up the probability of successfully mining - solving the mathematical problem and receiving a reward. Rewards (BTC) are then allocated based on the hash power contributed.
Good posts get a Recommend, I know. Yesterday, however, was "RUFF" on top of the recent SP trend. (RC - can you develop the acronym for RUFF ??). When you believe in a company - and the SP doesn't back your belief - days like yesterday are especially RUFF to sit through even with a 'generous' splash of Brut and/or singing like your in Wales.
So... to all the informative posts about Futures expiring - THANK YOU. They helped me and many to hold their nerve.
@TheProphet - I found yours to be the most illuminating and in recognition, I have added you to the list for a Brut Xmas gift box if BTC is $100k, which I know you'll be very pleased to hear.
So with my head finally unspinning from yesterday, and the sat nav still not getting it, which direction is it to the Moon please ?

Very hard to "think like a whale" today... so I instead I have decided to "sing like I am in Wales"...
@poorinvestor: have you heard of SRES - I'm 13 years and counting...
Lolades78 - so you are sure an application has been submitted? Which level ADR do you think?
@28jaczae01 - it's a shareholder responsibility not a company responsibility to file a TR-1
** Ooops... that didn't sound right. I should edit my last.... I meant 'UK and World news'
To all the fine folk who post personal anecdotes, I would like to share this thought. I am invested here. And I watch the news in general - and by and large - it is depressing. I visit this board as a reminder to me that there are good people - who face personal challenges with health daily (and nightly). To read the positives you get from ZOE products and the hope that comes with it... it's my feel good moment for day. Anyone with a target price of £10, may be give yourself a well deserved interim dividend at £5 :-)

Morning RC, as u r a Welshman and a good fellow too, my heartfelt commiserations on yesterday. The most unforgettable rugby spectacle and the tensest final 4 mins to a game in recent memory. Sets up Friday to be a similarly great game with Scotland resurgent and France with their tails up.
PW salary is per employment contract then settled in BTC - as BTC goes up - he'll receive fewer... but his hodl will have gone up in value. It's certainly a show of faith in BTC. At any time he'll be able to revert to FIAT or potentially nominate another coin that ARB hodls. The offer to receive salary in BTC was made to all employees.
if your watching live BTC prices ? I've developed OCD - Obsessive Coin Disorder
thanks for the knowledge share this morning...
time to go ramp ARB on some other boards :-) and then take in some sunshine (surely BTC has broken $59k now ?!?)
@WPol - best source for remuneration info. is the AR 2019.
eloquently put Tc... seems I'm in debt to the tune of another 'impluse'
I've just seen BTC $59k.... rather than chat amongst ourselves... let's all hit up other BBs and remind those sorry souls what they're missing out on :-)
does ARB need an RNS when BTC is going great guns ?
@WPol - it's perhaps a fair enough point to make - but I think throwing numbers at it, is a bit random (especially those whoppers - unless you can offer some reasoned insight). Perhaps let's put it another way - if there is a 'cross-listing' is it reasonable to expect (even though it's not necessary) an equity raise at the same time - anyone with first hand experience know ?
