RE: SP and consolidation4 Mar 2025 09:31
Not sure it would be a mandatory requirement but I do remember SD saying that he'd like to oversee a consolidation, the reasons he stated were.
1. He thought the sheer number of GGP Shares in circulation as a number was unusually high and would like to see it streamlined
2. A more meaningful price per unit would likely make it a more attractive, straightforward and quantifiable investment for large financial institutions, particularly on ASX
I have been on the receiving end of a 10:1 consolidation quite recently and it didn't have any significant impact on the overall value of my holding. In the case of GGP I think a 20:1 consolidation would make sense reducing the number of outstanding shares to around 650 million. So somebody who owned say 200k number of shares priced at 9p per unit each would end up with 10,000 shares priced at £1.80 per unit. I fully expect the GGP market cap to increase significantly in the months ahead so if a consolidation is to be done I'd rather it was done sooner rather than later.
On a different note, great RNS today and also the copper inclusion is another very welcome tick up. For one reason or another this SP has been held back for far too long but there is now some visible open road and blue sky ahead which LTH certainly deserve for all of their commitment.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL WHO ARE GGP INVESTED AND ENJOY THE RIDE
