Agreed, having said that if you end up in Scotland then you've probably gone further north than planned.

Gold price continues to defy gravity, long may it continue. I'm now really looking forward to the quarterly results due next month. I've penciled that in for around 15th April (unless anyone knows different?)

Impossible to say exactly what a healthy batch of financial results could do to the market cap but I'm fairly sure it will shift it in the right direction.

On a different note I think I may be able to clear something up here.

In UK if somewhere is located North of the Midlands then we can say with some degree of confidence that its in the North. If it is south of the Midlands then the same applies but it's in the south. If it's east of the Midlands its east Anglia and if it's to the west of the Midlands then you've taken a wrong turn because you're probably somewhere in Wales

Can I ask when was this ? And what reason did they give ?

Reason I ask is because I bought OMI through HL last week and was intending to buy more soon

I only recently bought in to OMI at around 9.25p as a medium/long term "back burner" stock so for me this sudden upturn was somewhat unexpected.

Any LTHs out there who are able to throw any light on why this is happening now ?

There was a consolidation in of one of my other significant holdings in 2023. It was incredibly straightforward I ended up with the amount of shares I own divided by 10 and the value of each Share multiplied by 10. Other than normal daily fluctuation in SP the value of the holding remained the same.

I'm all for it, it wil of coursel reduce my number of shares owned to tens of thousands as opposed to hundreds of thousands but those shares will be valued in £s and not pence. No dramas.

As a LTH I have no cause for complaint when I consider everything that GGP has accomplished over the past 4 months or so and I'm looking forward to the upcoming quarterly results along with the ASX listing a bit further down the line.

It's real results and hard currency going in the cash register and not sentiment that will be the driving force behind the SP from here on in.

Talking of which..does anyone know roughlt we can expect to see the next quarterlies ?

It's going to make for extremely interesting reading, I shall buy some decent biscuits and extra tea bags in readiness for that morning 😃

With gold priced at $3000 per oz that $40 Bn mkt cap seems like pie in the sky but if gold price were to reach 6k or even better 10k before 2030 it

actually begins to look nowhere near as crazy as it sounds

I'll hang on for around 4 years and they can then have mine for 3 quid a pop !
