I think having a good chunk in SIPP will serve you well, it certainly simplifies the decision making process as the SP rises, particularly over the next 3 or 4 years. It's impossible to guess where this could be by the time 2030 arrives but I'd be genuinely surprised if the share price didn't have a pound sign in front of it

Am looking forward to seeing the Q1 numbers tomorrow, and to a certain extent what it does to the SP, but short term movements won't define this stock for me, I bought in to the long term project and like you am very happy to wait patiently for the bountiful returns that will inevitably come our way in due course.

Well I don't think I've seen that very often. An RNS just to inform people that there will be another announcement in a few days time.

Just my opinion but I highly doubt that Shaun Day would be putting out an announcement regarding the date of Q1 results if they were anything short of excellent. My schedule dictates that by rights I should be horizontal in bed on Monday morning but under the circumstances I will likely make an exception as I'm very keen to look at the numbers.

GGP is to a great extent still operating under the radar but I fully expect that to change over the next few months starting with Monday's report and then the continuation of good news flow as we move in to the summer.

I have stated on here that I think we will see a Market Capitalisation of circa £5 BN as we move in to next year, some seem to think that is over optimistic but I really don't. There is going to be a steady stream of good news that will ensure we arrive at that milestone sooner rather than later.

It's definitely not the last thing on Shaun Day's mind. Amongst other things he's probably working on it already, he said it would likely happen during Q2 which we have now entered.

Another company I'm invested in did a consolidation last year. Nobody lost out, market cap remained the same and my number of shares held decreased tenfold and the value of each of my remaining shares multiplied by the same amount. It wasn't done to raise money, it was done shortly before a cross listing on the NYSE as often happens

Or equivalent...depending on what ratio they decide to work on. Equivalent wouldn't be 4p would it on ten for one. Be 4 quid. No need for me to try again. I have no clue what ratio they will work on, although 1:10 seems reasonable but instead of guessing at a ratio and multiplying accordingly I used the term or equivalent

Pretty run of the mill stuff, just a process that had to pass through the pipeline. Barely worthy of an RNS but compliance rules !

In other news I noticed SP opened red but it may well turn blue before the day is done.

Having said that, as a LTH the day to day fluctuations in GGP are for the birds, the real cheesecake starts in a week or two starting with Q1 financial report followed by ASX listing and I suspect some highly encouraging drilling results and other good news to follow along with a rising gold price.

I honestly still think we could see 40p+ (or equivalent after consolidation) this calender year and I don't mind saying it.

£1.25 per Share and I'd happily sell the lot tomorrow.

That said, 3 years down the line from here I think they'll be worth considerably more than that anyway

Agree with you. This GGP chat is defo one of the best I've come across for any company.

Plenty of useful info, analysis and opinion, it's a shame about the bickering, I try to completely ignore it but sometimes it gets to the point where that gets fairly difficult.

Anyway, I've finally just managed to watch the most recent interview with Shaun Day without being disturbed (one of the few advantages of being awake at 0530 ! I enjoyed it, I could have listened to him for even longer to be fair. I'll probably watch it again over this weekend in case I missed anything

Gold mines are by their very nature expensive to run, if only someone could think of a valuable asset the company could sell to cover the costs ?

Anyway, my only disappointment in the past week or so is that when the SP dipped below 12p yesterday I was only able to add 50k shares. I would have loved it to have been 150k, but I guess when you know a company is on the verge of a rip-roaring success story human nature will tell you don't have enough shares ! But in the cold light of day I am aware that I have enough to make it count when the company are signing off healthy profits every single month and growing the asset base at the same time.

I'm still not sure how to explain what's going on with the SP the past couple of days as it doesn't really conform to a normal trading/share price pattern, but I suppose GGP isn't a normal stock!

Following the very encouraging results released in late Feb, SD said that they were planning a second round of drilling to begin in Q2 of this year so I guess they must be starting with that fairly soon. Not sure when we'll see the results but the great thing about this management team is that they don't let the grass grow under their feet for long so I expect it all to happen in a timely fashion.

Maybe someone else on here might have further info on this ?

I have another junior mining stock that has quite big daily/weekly swings. All to be expected. I just added another 50k shares at under 12p. (Would have been more financial circumstances permitting)

The upward trend is where the focus needs to be, the day to day fluctuations are just like sunshine and showers in April.

Talking of April, I think some quarterly results are due soon....?

Reading the thread when the subject of GGP dividends cropped up. Personally I couldn't care about dividends until Hav. Is up and running to its full potential, even then I'd probably prefer them to invest as much as possible on drilling rather than dishing out cash to shareholders. Growth stocks and dividends don't make for good bedfellows in my view, I'd be delighted if the board can navigate a route to Havieron been fully operational without having to borrow and were there to be any extra I'd be very happy to see it spent on a share buyback program before dividends were considered.

I guess preference in that department very much depends on personal circumstances and the nature of the individual and their investment plan but for me, in the short/medium term dividends are low on my list of GGP ambitions.

Plenty of other stocks out there paying bumper % dividends right now and some of those companies would probably be better off spending it on other things in the long run.

On another note, with Monday morning opening bell fast aproaching, I have, absolutely zero idea what will happen with Greatland SP this week and I doubt anybody really does ? But It's going to be interesting to watch and find out 😃

8 weeks is more than 40 trading days away, so I'd say there's lots of reasons to suggest that is quite achievable

You're hoping for a £3bn mkt cap on what kind of timescale?

Can't speak for anybody else but I won't be selling anything at 13p, not even close to it.

If anything I'm looking to add before next month's quarterly results update and after that I highly doubt I will add ever again but I certainly don't plan on selling either, at least not for the foreseeable future because there's just too much to look forward to, trading updates, drilling results, ASX listing and price of gold on the rampage so its going to take a darn sight more than 13p to even consider getting the abacus out.

I never set out for GGP to become my largest position but as things stand it is. My original intention in 2021 was to add it my portfolio as a kind of optimistic punt with a gut feeling it may bear significant fruit in 5 or 10 years down the line. Then the SP began to fall so I bought more and more on the way down ending up with around 4 times the number of shares I started out with I did wonder at times if I was trying to catch a falling knife but I stuck to my guns (not sure if it was through courage or just downright stubbornness!) and my position is now blue for the first time ever. During the darker times I'd look at this board anonymously and the rock solid optimism from some of the LTH on here prevented me from off loading my stock to try and cut losses so instead I averaged down. So there are some posters on here to whom I'm very grateful.

I'm now looking forward to the weeks and months ahead with a share holding 4 times the size it was originally meant to be 😃
