I think the HMRC rule is that warrants cannot be held in an ISA for more than 30 days after their issue. Seems to me that Barclays were negligent here. BUT - what's now in your ISA are shares ( not warrants ) & so that's OK.

Shares have been credited to the above account ( my brother's ). The warrants were exercised via a corporate action at the end of August.

To use an analogy, I want a house built & my builder has lots of money ( great ! ), but can't start work for a year ( not so great ! ).

What are BOR required to do before the licence expires ? e.g. FID, drill.

Barclays' offers monthly opportunities to exercise the warrants, so there's another in September etc.

Hi Gordon57 - Barclays have told me there are monthly opportunities for exercising warrants. Additionally, you can phone them any time ( up to expiry date ) to exercise.

Exercising online can be dangerous if you can't hear the train coming !
