The Barclays 12 month price target of 360p is a joke. This is moving inexorably upwards now. There's no reason why 360p can't be surpassed this week alone if the board do the right thing on Thursday and pay the outstanding Dividends etc. It's in their power now to change the ongoing negative sentiment to positive and I'm confident that will be achieved and shareholder value will be restored.

We'll all be winners if Aviva receives an equivalent takeover offer as RSA just have. The offer at 685 pence per share is roughly a p/e of 20 . On that basis, a similar offer for Aviva would equate to c£10.80 per share. That would make a very welcome Christmas present! LOL.

Agree with you re Brexit porsche2121. I voted leave but that was obviously before Covid19 smashed the economy. Any sensible government would cancel Brexit in the current situation and avoid the double whammy to the economy. Brexit could always go ahead in the future when things were not so fragile. As far as Aviva goes, there are many shares doing far worse at the moment and I'm confident Aviva is on the up. It's just a pity the BOD seem to have no qualms about treating the shareholders with contempt.

Tantalisingly close to bursting through the £3 level again. Never a better time for a positive announcement from the board to impel the SP towards a significant re-rating. Let's see if they're worth their salt!

Considering the massive damage to the economy caused by Covid 19, surely any sensible government would be pragmatic and cancel Brexit for the forseeable future. At least until the economy was back on an even keel. The last thing that's needed now is further major economic headwinds on top! Perhaps then British shares would rise in line with other global markets and not be rated so pathetically low!

There needs to be a speedy and positive resolution to the Dividend fiasco for any significant and sustainable increase in the SP. Unfortunately, the shattered integrity of Aviva has been self-inflicted by recent incompetent collective BOD Indecisions. Was hoping that new blood would have rectified those blunders AT PACE!!!

With so much positive news lately and commentators,tipsters and brokers recommending Aviva, why is there only a weak momentum upwards and the SP struggling to make MEANINGFUL advances above 300p? It seems obvious that uncertainty and procrastination regarding the dividends is continuing to damage the potential value of the shares. What is clearly required is a speedy (and positive) resolution to that whole fiasco in order to provide a real and lasting impetus to the SP. We would almost certainly then,IMO, see a radical re-rating to at least it's NAV!!!

Believe it or not Warthog, these 'Blue Chip' shares were well over £12 each once, back in the Spring of 1998. For well over 20 years now, many Directors have as you pointed out 'reaped huge salaries and benefits while we PI's get shafted'. They have somehow contrived to destroy this company's value by approximately 75% in that time whilst feathering there own nests! It's nothing short of scandalous imo! Okay, perhaps something like 300p has been distributed in dividends in that time but hey, that's hardly much compensation considering the massive devaluation in the SP.

RR business decimated by CV and hemorrhaging £billions. Aviva by contrast very robust.

Karv1, couldn't agree more. Have got no beef with them 'Kindly' donating shareholders cash to charity on our behalf either. They need to get the priorities in order first though. When a dividend is declared, it has to be honoured. After all, this is a PLC that belongs to the shareholders and is not a charity.
