The Piotroski F-Score aims to identify the healthiest companies amongst a basket of value stocks through applying a set of nine accounting-based stock selection criteria. So it would appear that CPI passes seven outhouse nine criteria.

Regarding the STOCKRANK,my understanding is that every company on Stockopedia is analysed for it's QUALITY,VALUE,GROWTH and MOMENTUM across hundreds of fundamental and technical metrics. They all come together in Stockopedia's proprietary set of composite STOCKRANKS,ordered from 0(the weakest), to 100(the strongest).

Rejoice, The company accounts are improving. CPI now enjoys a Piotroski F-Score of 7. That's according to my Stockopedia account which also gives CPI a lofty stockrank of 88. Promotion to ft250 index from Monday bound to support the upward momentum too imv.

Deutsche reiterates BUY, Target price 560p. If Only!

You say that but it seems the market is still in panic mode here unfortunately.

That's a very good point. So effectively, the real cost per share would be equivalent to about £3.20p if it avoided corporation tax. In which case I would be pro the buybacks.

The SP has performed poorly since the Return of Capital/Share Consolidation not just since the two tranches of share buybacks. Admittedly these are turbulent times,what with Covid,Brexit and Ukraine. But the fact that Cevian bailed out whilst simultaneously singing the praises of the restructured Aviva plc (at last) makes me highly suspicious. The timing seems very odd to me. After all, I wouldn't sell up an investment that had finally turned the corner and had a great future. After all, that is the holy grail of investing. Are Cevian duplicitous or what?

Oh dear! And it was going so well! Let's hope it resumes the painfully slow upwards momentum next week.

Soon, when the recent hacking debacle news becomes tomorrow's fish and chip wrapping, CPI will surely soar.

Yeah true oldbut......, but then again the co were buyers at 525+ a few years ago and a fat lot of good that did us! For a CEO who 'blows her own trumpet' stating that she "works at pace", that doesn't seem to be reflected in the Share Price I'm afraid which is moving at a 'snails pace' at best imv. Two years ago, Cevian Capital suggested that in 2 or 3 years time, Aviva ought to be in the region of £8 per share. That feels like 'pie in the sky' at the moment. The way things have stagnated here, I'd be more than happy to see £6 per share one day!

Wall Street continues to retrace. I'd not be surprised to see Aviva plc advance to at least 435p tomorrow.

A forward (Well-covered) dividend yield of 8% and growing. Profits up by 35%, solvency 2 cover ratio of c200%, £300,000,000 share buyback in progress,etc etc. Why are we suffering like this. Aviva is not a bank for goodness sake. The market is a nonsense!

It looks like the market is pricing in a disastrous upcoming budget. I hope it's wrong and we get a nice bounce back.

These could conceivably sink all the way back down to 30p per share by the close on Friday. At such point I think I could be tempted to get back in having sold out at 42.5p recently when it spiked.

Just googled ' Av. Share price ' and was pleasantly surprised to find Aviva plc finished up 0.71pence (after hours). Hoping citibank took advantage of todays market panic on behalf of Aviva's buy-back programme. I live in hope!
