Pretty quiet day overall.

Just had a look at the RNS button and we have had a few not 7am dropped in since November. Usually 7am though. Little unpredictable at the moment.

One UT buy showing ADVFN of 750,000 @4.68. A 256,744 sell @4.652 and a bunch of sales @4.7 plus

Rickie - all depends upon whether we (a) have a singular farminee or (b) there are multiples prospective partners or (c) none at all willing to come on board.

If (a) then we would be given a boost if it was a big player.

If (b) then things could become very interesting IF they all want to be an individual partner. Not so much as if they want to be a consortium of course, however, the interest that would deliver may be a different level of interesting.

(c) then we would be going it alone and as we are fully funded for the exploration drill - we would have to assume that a positive outcome (as pre drill estimates) would generate a bidding war. All IMO of course.

Really could do with a further update.

Harking on again about that last interview with SP. He does mention being fully funded for the extra drill too. He mentioned the .8 billion "and if successful will derisk the whole of the B structure which will hopefully give 2 bbo which we are drilling at 100% equity."

He does sound quite confident.

On a different note - 2 sales reported 161 and 165 for 526 shares each at 4p, wouldn't it be nice to see us at 5.26 tomorrow? ;@)

findme - thanks for that - I was more referring to their designs of the two rigs mentioned earlier. One being the standard 4 legged beast whilst the other being a ship. Whilst I would understand that they can both drill, I have no idea as to their maximum capabilities.

Whatever the difference is irrelevant as BPC have contracted a drill ship with 2 derricks which was build in 2014 and we know which is closest to where we will be drilling.

I am hoping the markets calm down and the scaremongering stops. People are making a lot of money on the current drop on the indices - I am sure the likes if George Soros will be sitting pretty - they can create market volatility as we know.

Like anything contagious, people need to take precautions like washing their hands and using sanitising gels etc. Its not that difficult really just common sense.

Two different beasts of course - Drill Ship and Drill Rig - though I have no working knowledge of the two having never worked in the industry - perhaps someone who has could enlighten the board as to the potential pros vs cons on the two types of vessel when it comes to what BPC intend to do.

It is left of course as a guessing game so nothing can be taken as gospel until we get it from the company. Very interesting times we are in I have to say.

We are now in March so Happy St David's Day.

One more sleep until the markets re-open and we see either a tick up or a resumption of the last weeks woes.
I am anticipating some news from the company during the week which will settle issues down - always a bad time to issue great news when the markets are fragile.

However, that was never suggested to be a target for BPC - The mention of £8 was in relation to a much smaller oil exploration outfit DGO who were drilling in the area of the Caspian sea around Turkmenistan and continue to produce.

The transformation of that company from a penny share came about after the then Irish owned company Dragon Oil took over a previously abandoned area which had previously been own by Shell.

They went from pennies over a period of around 10 years with a share buy out of £8 per share. I had sold out at around £4-50'ish.

Never did I suggest, nor even hint - that BPC could do the same - how could dare I even predict it?

So there is the £8 sorted.

As for other guesstimates - well it is a public bulletin board and anyone can post whatever they want whether it comes with a financial services style advice notice. It is always nice to add an opinion based note of course. Whilst it is legal to post even outrageous claims it is quite evident that posters can become quite personal in their rants too.

I did chuckle at the word narcissus though having a Welsh type name. Perhaps a deliberate typo perhaps auto correct though narcissism (being a narcissist) as defined - Narcissism is the pursuit of gratification from vanity or egotistic admiration of one's idealised self image and attributes. This includes self-flattery, perfectionism, and arrogance.

The etiquette of a sensible bulletin board would suggest attacking the post (i.e. the contents or suggestion in the post) rather than attacking the poster him/herself. I have witnessed all too often the meeting of two opposing factions when things have become personal. I would expect it things follow the code of ethics, then the 87p party (change the figure as one would feel appropriate) will remain a peaceful and joyous occasion in which to enjoy the copious amounts of amarone, gin, rum and beef and horseradish sandwiches which will be on offer. Everyone please feel free to add to the menu as you see fit - it should not be left to IK and myself lol ;@) ;@) ;@) lots of happy faces.

Monk - as I am sure you know, West Saturn remains at anchore off the coast of Trinidad & Tobago. I am sure as soon as it begins to move we will be made aware. Seadrill is the nominated supplier and as you rightly point out the majority of their vessels are either deployed elsewhere or indeed unsuitable for purpose.

Thanks for your advice Lw - I am over 100% though was a lot higher less than 48 hours ago. With the recent news that they wil be drilling I see this as at least 7p which is where we were back in 2018. I would be happy with that if we were only in the position we were in 2018 - that we were in exclusive talks with a major to bankroll for a drill.

You will be aware though that at current point in time BPC has enough funds to pay for the use of the drill ship, anchor it down and let the drill bit do the talking. That said if it did hit a duster there is enough money in the pot to plan a second aperture and see what that one brings.

All of course speculation as there is no confirmation of the drill - or is there? In order to obtain the EIA there needed to be details relating to the vessel being used and methodology in obtaining the necessary exploratory permission to drop said drill bit.

I am sure you meant well with your initial post of course and I doubt it was a deliberate attempt to be some sort of scaremongering type post. We have enough scaremongering around the Covid malarkey as it is.

The FTSE is down 2.3% - the markets everywhere are taking one in the gonads. Nothing one can do until the markets settle down.
Whilst AIM has its own way of doing things I think market temperament will keep this from heading too far north at the moment. Tomorrow is another day of course and wtfdik anyway.
