The North - depends where you deem to be the north.

Often I hear Manchester as being the North, though it is 2 1/2 hour drive at national speed limit for me. It takes me almost 2 hours to travel that bit further north to the border of Scotland.

It does make me titter and sometimes annoyed when they mention the Northern Powerhouse - At times the north east and north west are merely forgotten territories. Beautiful scenery up here though and not a sign of a jellied eel up here thankfully.

Zag -just a reminer that there are no CERP assets anymore - everything is owned by BPC.

With mention of the bod being abe to get on with their lives if P1 is a duster - I look at the salary they deferred, and had it repaid in shares - albeit they received their deferred salary shares at a minimal cost.

That said - they are in recipt of the shares/options etc so they are in the game - whilst not as deep as some if I am led to believe some here.

If after 10 years P1 is not a success - where would it leave the experts, who for 10 years have been extolling the virtues of the Bahamas licences that we own?

They would look rather silly having spent 10 years in one place, and having being paid in shares which would of course be worth jack if it was the case.

Let them get on with what they need to and fingers crossed we can buy them all a bottle of the good stuff rather than a pint and a packet of pork scratchings next year.

Of course it would be brilliant if we had the BoD's ear 24/7 to put our minds to rest. We haven't so it is a case of suck it and see, which is never the best position.

We are merely a few weeks away from news of the Stena IceMax being fully prepared for the task ahead.

We all want to see this one through - a lot of us have been here steadfastly for a decade - we have seen the ups, the downs and the doldrums. It has been a very frustrating share. I have been taking some very deep breaths and keeping away from the BB as best I can.

I expect others are taking a breather, having had some great success with other shares and perhaps do not really need this one as much.

Go through the RNS and news which is easily found by using Google.

Yes we are waiting and have been for a number of years. Some have traded and made a lot over the years, some have tried and lost over the years. Some have just accumulated and some have lost hope of making a penny profit and left their certificates in drawer bottoms.

In the larger scale of things - your time-scale covers 24 years - we have 49 days to 15th December, 7 weeks to the day, a month and a half. So keep your pants on and let the days tick by, during which time we may have news on the other assets now owned by BPC. We should also learn a little about the timeline when the Stena IceMax leaves port for a little testing before setting sail for Bahamian/Cuban waters.

I have a lot more grey hair since beginning my journey here. I have made a few bob on other companies along the way and I have certainly lost a few bob too.

All of the companies have a favour to use such terminology so have come to the conclusion they learn from the same school as politicians though BoD tend not to lie as much and they actually can give a definitive answer at times.

Fear ye not Harry - we will know within a few short weeks - our fate - good or bad. In the meantime we must not let our collective frustration cloud our judgements - stay safe all - ;@)

I wonder, do you often contact the office of publicly listed companies who have a premium rate number and then ring it anyway, knowing it was a premium rate number. Perhaps it is premium rate in any case to stop folk ringing with questions when there is a FAQ page on the website.

Why email the office when we know the folk you want to answer the queries are out and about - some in Sydney as per recent presentations and some elsewhere dealing with the run up to the drill, perhaps organisng Haliburton etc.

Is the answer to your query so urgent that it needs you to pester a friend out in the Bahamas to visit an office (which will be a servced office like Regus).

Perhaps someone here may be able to answer your pressing question - or was it merely to complain they had a premium rate number?

In this day and age where everyone can work remotely - is there any reason to purchase freehold or have long term lease on a bricks and mortar office?

The office is based in the IoM for obvious tax reasons and the office in the Bahamas will not be fully occupied as the staff are busy polluting the air with their long haul journies so they can sort out dotting the i's and crossing the t's in order we can all benefit from the oil beneath the sea.

Not a personal attack and I will read the abuse later in the day as I have more pressing matters than having a rant today.

Harry - SP may be down but the bid price is what is finished with last night 2.35 so has not made a change to the value of my lot.

It is very frustrating this waiting game.

We do have stats in writing as well as verbalised on the video. I doubt very much they would commit to do so without believing it - though we do all know company directors who will quite happily lie out of their hairy orifice.

What do we need to know at the moment?

We know we are scheduled the drilling rig on or around 15th December.

We know we have the finance - and access to further finance should it be needed.

We are told that Suriname will come online in 2021.

We are told T&T will increase its output by year end on early 2021.

The main piece of information we want is - Will P1 be drilled this side of Christmas - we have had many posts saying this is the one trick pony that BPC is.
So drilling news will come quite soon - we know the drillship is in Las Palmas undergoing a refit - CoMan and others have updated the procedures already. Most folk will have the ship on some form of maritime watch so they will know when the ship leaves the port.

So my question is - why are some still quibbling about the details? I think they are well documented, the links on the BPC website are there to read and re-read if they do not make sense initially.

Do we really need a step-by-step update and our hands held?

Unless we are told otherwise - we have the finances in place to drill P1. We have all the operational stuff bought and stored in Houston. We are told we have a very experienced team all primed for the off. We know the IceMax is the beast that will do the drilling. The timescales may have some slippage but we can expect that with a new exploration opportunity. Q1 we will have the results of the premilinary drill.

Outstanding questions perhaps :-

Will we get a farm-in?
Will Stena join forces?
Will we do this completely alone?
Will this board ever be satisfied?

Just rudely awoken from a grandad nap so above may appear a little terse.

Less than 9 million traded so far today on the standard exchange - no sell off - no massive buys - just a little Mexican stand off until we get news of progress.

Nothing much to discuss - though I have a wall of green, so there must be some inane chatter.

Though only 22 trades so far with 960,635 being buys and 296,578 showing as sells.

Most recent buys showing as 2.47 and sells as 2.4185.

...these last couple of RNS have just been dotting the i's and crossing the t's.

They have not been eyewatering, however, they have clarified a couple of issues that were left in the cloudy pile.

Whilst not massively detailed, they do close a couple of the constant bickering type arguments on here recently.

50 odd days left before drill is supposed to go in - knock off about 10 days to travel and set up leaves us 5 or 6 weeks away.

I would concur that we are in need of an update or three to pull us our of the doldrums.

...this page is comments about Irene - perhaps there would have been a higher percentage, though I have a number of green reminders that folk are on filter.

If you deliberately leave food out in the open it will quickly attract vermin. I deliberately ensure the area around my abode is kept free of anything that attracts things I do not wish to be bothered with.
I dealt with enough cr4p to last a couple of lifetimes in my previous role.
