And no one congratulates Ireland on its great successes in hauling itself out of a hole. They are an example to most countries on corporate tax for example. The Law of Diminishing Returns is so important but apparently a mystery to most politicians where few have run businesses. I am bullish on this share so should most of you here or why bother?

I am not in Mensa - I specifically stated I was a member for many years. I cancelled all my subscriptions to save money when I retired. I love the UK and am very patriotic. BUT it is MUCH cheaper to live in Italy. The food is much better - no additives. When visiting the UK my wife and I immediately have poorer digestions. The pace of life here is less frenetic. Sadly many British people here are bumptious so most of our friends are Italian. In this rural area people are far less class conscious than in UK which does have a very strange hierarchy. Obviously snobbery does occur here as does jealousy - human nature tends to be similar everywhere with significant variations in certain countries. Only one person said anything adverse when the Brexit vote happened. I asked him if he was a European. He replied that firstly he was Umbrian, secondly Italian and last but not least European. Then he roared with laughter shook my hand and hugged me! It was such a refreshing change to watch Trump's lengthy press conference. At last someone who answered questions at length and is articulate. We still do not know if Mother Theresa supports the maternity hospital near Copeland. Evasion like so many politicians is an art form. Why does not Bercow force her to answer questions put at PMQs. No one picked up my point about how well Ireland is doing. Bet their corporation tax rate rattles Junkers et al. A country which understands the Law of Diminishing Returns!

I can assure you that living in a Italy the last thing I want is the collapse of the EU. However, the euro currency is another thing and like the 1880s experiment it is doomed to failure. How little you know of Italy! You paint a picture that is totally wrong. Italy has 3 economies. The ordinary documented one. Then there is the black economy at least as big to by pass very high rate of IVA (VAT) and finally as big again the Mafiaa economies. Mafia proper, Sacro Coronata, Ndrangeta, Etc. That is why Italy is in such a state. The access to tariff free markets of EU is a red herring. and of course unlike Britain Italy is a big manufacturer from clothes to cars to fairground rides and agricultural equipment. Indeed she is supplying the trains for one UK franchise soon. And I believe possibly for HS2 if it ever gets built. Funny that Trump Is so against free trade!

Anyway Greece will soon be out and if Le Pen wins in France the EU is toast.

the referendum is not a tennis match not best of three! The PEOPLE voted to leave the EU not the single market but altogether. It is not for politicians to overrule the voters who put them there. I live in Italy, EUROPE is bonkers. Yesterday the commissioner pointed out only 10% of refugees dealt with. No help given to Italy or Greece. it is not a cohesive whole and never will be as each country is selfish.
