PS Italian shoppers do not mind shopping around. For instance in this small town Umbertide we have 8 butchers shops. At Christmas we chose some fore rib. The butcher said" No you are having this" and produced a veal joint ( local farm) which was delicious. A very Italian moment. On another occasion buying steak my wife asked if it was Chiana ( Tuscan) the answer quick as a flash in English " no, better".

Overall quite significant. Also that the personal shoppers appear to be mainly middle class. Taking this with the huge Amazon v. Ali Baba battle over fresh food and clearly there has been a major shift in the market which is ongoing.

No such problems in Italy. All the chickens are from nearby even at the Coop - and actually taste of something. Much cheaper too!
