This could be a big day for Webis according to the small print of the court case today, July 2nd. The lawsuit scheduled for later this pm appears to be asking the state to extend the deadline for collecting signatures and more importantly to allow those signatures to be valid for the 2020 ballot. If this is agreed by the judge then this is very good news for Webis. The lawsuit looks to be implying that the coalition of tribes have incurred costs of more than $7 million to collect the signatures before the COVID-19 restrictions came in to force on March 20. Therefore today could be very interesting indeed for the 2020 ballot. Very smoke and mirrors.

We only have to wait a few more weeks. The hints are all there. I'm sure that it wouldn't be being rolled out in to care homes and for use by DR's if it was not working in the hospitals. I agree with you Paul, Skittish, Ian B and the rest of the "Brownies" who have high hopes for this in the next 12 months. Quite right Skittish we are sitting on a diamond! If debt reduction can be maintained as Paul correctly points out in 4 years time we would have "no debt with a loan book worth £2 a share, a 900m clothing business, 60m of property, 100m of inventories and intangibles all thrown in for free". I recommend everyone who hasn't seen it yet to read the investor slides on the N Brown plc website. This is an impressive management team who have a clear vision of reducing debt and creating significant share holder value moving forward. Whilst welcoming the new director appointments I feel there is still ANother from the previous regime that should not be re-elected at the AGM and that is the CFO. I won't be voting for his re-election and would like his removal as he is part of the awful past of this company. Then we can move on in confidence. Until then there would have to be a question mark for investors of more of the same. There can only be a bright future for Val when the clean out of the old bod has been completed.

When investing in a company you need to base your decision on trusting the management. I did with PXOG and in 3 years since: I bought PXOG in January 2017 for 0.80 it is now 0.080. Yes, you read right. This share price has only gone 1 way and that is backwards hugely. I have averaged down over the past 3 years on the back of Bill Smith and Ed Dawson's comments about the mcap being undervalued but actually all along its been jam tomorrow with a share price now down from 0.80 to 0.080. That is a massive decrease and certainly does not represent ANOTHER year of MAJOR progress. It represents another year of disaster for shareholders. Don't say you haven't been warned. I have had nothing but a negative experience of pxog as 0.80 to 0.080 illustrates. DYOR and good luck. Brighty.

Re legalizing sports wagering at racetracksJust.
For clarity my understanding is that the tribes were hoping to put their own version on the November 2020 ballot to legalize sports wagering at racetracks and tribal casinos. That would include Webis re the race tracks. If the case goes in favour of the tribes then it is still game on for Webis for Nov 2020. The case on Thursday will be for the tribes to win a court-ordered extension of the current (now passed) deadline to verify petition signatures. If the court agrees to extend the time frame for the tribes to collect and verify the 1 million signatures then this could mean it is still a possibility that this will be put to the ballot in November 2020. This is all smoke and mirrors stuff as it could also be that the tribes decide not to go for verification/count of the signatures and wait until 2022. The caveat is that they have spent $8million to date on this. It is therefore still possible that behind the scenes things are being worked on to get this on the November 2020 ballot. i.e. Thursday is an important court case. Political smoke and mirrors is still my feeling about the sudden decision to drop the vote last week ahead of the forthcoming court case on 2nd July. It is certainly going to be an interesting few days in the run up to next Thursday. Would still not surprise me to see a Nov 2020 scenario. After all, California needs the income.

Its a long term investment for me - been a Webis holder for nearly 5 years. I rarely day trade or dip in and out of any of my holdings. Happy to wait another few weeks, months or even a couple of years for Webis because I'm sure that sports betting is going to happen in California. Brasso, I was interested in your 16p price prediction for 2021 as I bought in to this at 0.88 with a view to exiting at 10p which is where I feel it is heading in the next few months. Your rationale for 16p makes for a very interesting case as over the last month I have been re-evaluating it and have arrived at 16-20p next year. Your research is spot on re capacity so I hope we are right and we see at least 16p in the next year. Good luck, Brighty

Well for what it is worth I bought in to TXP last November at 15p and its now 58p and on its way to 100p in the next few months. I have the same feel for the BPC / CERP merger. I bought in to Cerp on the back of the research Leo Koot was communicating 18 months back and he has proven to be right. If he thinks the BPC oil opportunity in Q4 is transformational then I am prepared to vote yes. I bought in to CERP and was prepared to wait 5 years to exit but can see the value of the BPC / CERP merger. The drill later this year could see this share multiply many times. Good luck, Brighty

I wouldn't want to see this snapped up by Shell or ANother major as some are expecting in the next few months.Too early to sell to a biggie when this could be huge on its own. I bought in at 15p last November and hope to see 100p by this November. At 58p this is progressing nicely. My end game for this is 250p Txp is my fav oil stock. Next one to watch is the BPC / CERP merger as if they hit oil in q4 this will do a TXP. Good luck Brighty.

Politics is a smoke and mirrors business so I won't be surprised at all if suddenly we hear that things are moving on the California sports betting front or that the tribes are hoping for their own legislation. The next key date is July 3rd and as so much is at stake financially for California things could change very quickly. I'm not selling one share as all the indicators are that at some stage sports betting is coming to California. When it does Webis will be one of the benefactors with a share price many times what it is now. Good luck. Brighty.

I don't think we will have long to wait. By July 3rd we will have a much better idea of what has been going.

There is still much to play for here. OK the date might be slipping but as far as the investment case goes it is still a brilliant opportunity. Webis could be worth many multiples of its current share price. What is there not to like about Webis - apart from it is going to take a bit longer. Politics is a funny game and who knows what might be happening right now behind the scenes to still move this forward?......

In support of Paulof2, who has made some excellent points over the last 3 months, the BWNG share price was ranging in the 130p -160p area 6 months ago. That is a fact. This could easily go back to this range over the next year. BWNG's big mistake was to come out relatively early with a, perhaps in hindsight, too negative trading update based on unknowns. This spooked the market. All the signs are there that this will be a recovery share price story of mega proportions over the next 12 - 18 months. DYOR. Brighty

Frustrating not to get this voted on tonight. A lot of smoke and mirrors to this and the rewards still significant for those that hold. This is a multi bag investment at some stage despite this temporary hitch. Remember what Webis said in its recent RNS:
"Given the momentum in California and the success of sports betting in other States such as New Jersey, it now seems inevitable that licensed sports betting is coming to California".
It's just a matter of time.....Here's to a positive outcome in due course which will see this multi bag considerably. Brighty
