I think the ASOS results and the BOO SP reaction today is probably now close to the bottom. Obviously timing that point is impossible but after holding back my frustrations I’m diving in now with done small buys to average down - so bought £20k at 186 - let’s see where it goes from here. Worst buy of my year - was doing so well else where with LLOY/BP/RR and then there’s BOO…. Hey ho I think with a fair wind a 20% upward movement in the next 12 months or so should see me level and I’ll be out. If not will chuck some more at it at 150 GLA
Just watched the video…..OMG….let me write that again OMG. I have regularly challenged myself on my analysis and thoughts about Syme …..could I be wrong….could this genuinely be the next big thing….could this just be a question of time …..and thank goodness I haven’t wavered in those opinions.
I have watched probably now 1000’s of interviews with large, medium and small cap CEOs and CFOs. Some giving good news and some bad news to the markets. Whatever the news, 99% of them, you can identify how they have risen to CEO/CFO status. This was definitely not one of those 99%. They don’t continually run their hands through their golden locks, wearing a red t shirt resembling prisoner apparel, they don’t as the CFO sound like they are terrified of their own shadow. Leaders are leaders and you can feel it….these were not leaders IMO DYOR
I’ve said it many times but the IFRS 15 is this companies undoing. It might be a great idea, but if it’s not allowable under IFRS then it’s not going to fly. Syme have been very weak in this aspect - they’ve not once rolled out a heavy weight from the accounting community giving support to its allowability. The references to big 6 accounting firms has NEVER been confirmed by them so then Syme made a laughable statement that it was down to individual potential customers to discuss it with their accountants. I mean give me a break - that’s like selling someone a car with no breaks and when they ask if it’s legal telling them to check with their mechanic doh

Lucky ….do you know the beauty of the word pipleline…..it’s beautiful for AZ because in reality it translates to “I might or I might not” ….it’s non contractual, non enforceable…..it is a perfect metaphor for all that Syme does …..promise but then it evaporates into thin air ….in summary pipeline = ZERO
RE: I see TW has been making some very01 Oct 2021 08:47
I swear that many on this BB don’t understand basic economics. They talk about cash and profit without really thinking through where it’s coming from. Syme have no cash …only cash burn. Syme/TF do not make profits they are loss making entities …they promise revenue levels but these are unproven and are surrounded in smoke and mirrors and diluted by outstanding refunds. They have killing levels of high interest debt and an unseen tech platform demonstrated on PowerPoint. Ffs get real IMO DYOR
Knowles - the problem is almost all of TFs competitors have struggled to make profits and with larger scale (much bigger AUM) I have never had it explained to me why TF are better than these bigger competitors and I have stated many times here there is no auditable proof of profits at all as far as TF is concerned - but that’s Syme for you - smoke and mirrors experts IMO
