We would love to hear your thoughts about our site and services, please take our survey here.
Why oh why did I think you might have agreed with me?
Should have known you'd be the same effingidiot you have always been.
How do you misconstrue ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING?
TG did not makes us think we would be gifted those option - IT WAS A VIRTUAL CERTAINTY that the price would rise from over 5p within 2 years!!!
Brilliant reward for backing our company!
How many pandemics are we likely to see in the 21st Century - the lockdown lasted the whole 2 years - what were the chances of that? TG to his credit must have realised that placing was not a formality and dangled a carrot for the Donkey and his tiny minority of sceptics on here. World recession from that point and higher interest rates returning all contributed to placings being low on TLOU priority list for many of us.
Give Donkey an inch and the idiot takes a light year - so up himself.
TG read the market well - can you not see that Donkey? It was a brilliant option at the right time - give him credit ffs!!!!! Nobody else on here thinks those options were catch out people like me on the hop - maybe he was opening the door to further similar options - Covid killed them as well!!! The Doc entered stage right because he appreciates TG - that is why he owns most shares in TLOU and you my friend have SFA in your wallet or in your skull or in your portfolio that is worth talking about?
I should not have introduced your doubts about management! Green looks better than the reply from the smallest IQ in the country! Roll on confirmation that 169M will never be issued this time round. Filter is already back on - I was stupid to take it off - you were right there!
I considered contacting TLOU for the first time ever to see if I could get some 1.8p bargains. I have relied on news from MinorMiner? (MM !) and Thornback rather than bombarding the main office with queries with similar questions.
I am hoping the 169M are not going to be issued because that is compatible with the lack of news on what is going on.
Whoever decided that shareholders should not be fully aware of what they are entitled to apply for during April falls into Donkey's description of the board! I'd support a vote of confidence because we should be certain of what is going on.
Tlou shafted us on the 2 year options at 4.4p when the price had been 5p+
That was purely down to lockdown and TLOU and us came out of it disappointed but blameless.
The latest undersubscribed placing which was too expensive for anybody through December and January to have justified buying. Not for the first time , the pension fund paid the price having paid 11p years ago and 3.5c this time when the sp on the open market was already lower or about to dive to much lower levels.
I was willing to take a loss along with the pension fund but the Doc was too pragmatic to join in! The TLOU news made it clear to me that I could not participate because my shares are registered to my address in the UK!
But IG in London or Sydney or both made me believe I was entitled to participate when I was offered shares!!! I applied and asked for additional shares confident I would get every share I applied for!
I plagued this chatroom with ways to fund TLOU at limited cost by selling existing shares on the open market to pay those 3.5c or 1.8p prices one ASX ot LSE at a loss!!!
There were question marks about when I should fund my account and then I was able to recover most of my losses to date so I grabbed that opportunity and backed out of the offer entirely.
Since February the market price changed has been considerably higher than 3.5c and 1.8p and the placing is now very appealing to anybody with half a brain or more.
Who is going to play GOD and decide who gets these bargains?????
The 2 year option entitlements at 4.4p could be used to provide us all with a sutable proportion of those 169M bargains - that is what I'd have done if I was in charge.
Not entitled back in the 4.4p days? Then NONE of the 169M.
Otherwise your 4/11 entitlement from December and your 4.4p options entitlement can be used to calculate an entitlement (percentage) of 169M or a brand new target?
That would be fair on sharehoders and restore the good will that was definitely intended back in the day!
I wonder what carp our green poster has now dragged up on Tidds and GG?
Another example of his reverse criticism? How often has he said I live inthe past and need to move on? And he finds Tidds newsworthy 10 years after he walked away from this board when TLOU was on a different mission entirely?
As for GG , is he another in a line of black Botswanans he says are stupid, lazy and bent because Donkey imitates a rascist whilst supporting Ian Kharma , mixed race with a white mother?
They all struggle with the English language as a second language (Eric, Lefoko , Massisi and GG) but I understand their English better than their native language for sure! Imho Eric and Lefoko were/are always pro-TLOU! With sceptics doubting TG's claims without any evidence , they had to listen to their counterparts or risk their careers. The underlying truth was they wanted TLOU to succeed and Sekaname's presence hindered us without a shadow of doubt. Until they surfaced TLOU's progress was seemingly superb! Hence the RFP clause not being challenged on the entry process? That put us back back many years and introduced belt and braces approaches after the laissez faire initial period!!! And a share price of 8p - 10p!
Mutual trust evaporated. A very sad event and then unexpected dewatering delays added doubts before Covid put TLOU's future in doubt. TG kept us in one piece throughout and GG may have been invaluable during lockdown? Single handedly managing a telephone to Australia/Ireland and everything in Botswna?
GG does not support TLOU as much as the other directors moneywise (i.e. failed to accept salary decreases (was he invited to?) and does not put his hand in his pocket at placings either (Is he allowed to?) ) but ,during the pandemic , TG gave him much credit for his presence in Bots during lockdown. I got the impression GG kept things rolling so perhaps his increased workload justified his full salary whilst the others were hamstrung? Perhaps GG helped to get us where we are today with the pension fund and the Govt and BPC?
If Donkey is critical then GG is almost certainly a hero!
Well said Winni, the board has been really stable for over a decade - and it took a pandemic to separate the one who left us, bless her.

Botswana Daily News (Gaborone)
By Pako Lebanna
Gaborone — The University of Botswana (UB) has confirmed the passing away yesterday of its chancellor, former Bank of Botswana (BoB) governor, Ms Linah Mohohlo, 69.
Ms Mohohlo was UB's first woman executive head following in the footsteps of previous chancellors former presidents Sir Ketumile Masire and Dr Festus Mogae as well as current head of state, President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi.
----------------------
In June 2021, it was with great sadness that we announced the passing of the Company’s Non-executive Director, Mrs Linah Mohohlo. Mrs Mohohlo joined the board in 2017 bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the board. Our thoughts continue to be with Mrs Mohohlo’s family and friends.
-----------------
Why was an obvious powerhouse, Linah, aligned with TG and Co?
The clues have been there for a long time - clear as day! TLOU has always been a hot AIM share! TG does not want his shares to be diluted unless there is no other option! Same for Doc and the pension fund. The pension fund are not relying on the SP rising to pay their pensioners - they want perpetual dividends - and the SP helps heir credit rating, their country and reputations on a personal level.
BTS - good to see your news - I was scared to asked about your Mrs.
ASX closed at 4.3c (2.21p) - so I am still in profit there and LSE is 2.1p to 2.23p on the Fixed price quotes. Stable prices before the horse bolts USAINly out of the 2p range and into 3p and upwards towards the 11p that the pension fund deserve to see again.
Lesedi #6 will get us to 6p , Lesedi #4 will extend it to 10p , and Solar will achieve the 11p in my mind. Positive dewatering news stands in the way. TLOU are more knowledgeable about channeling water away from the coals in #6 and #4. Once the transmission lines and generation kit are commissioned , I am expecting all hands on deck to complete the first dewatering. That first one is all important and subsequent ones are traditionally easier for obvios reasons. Loch TLOU awaits us?
ASX closed at 4.4c (2.27p)
In 12 days we'll see whether 169M were ditched or allocated and then we'll see how the news is received.
I like the stability across the world - people are holding and not identifying 2p+ as their target to get out.
Good to see BTS is still with us - not so destitute to have shed all his shares.
My ASX shares are still in the black. Given #6 was mentioned in the TB's tweet and #4 was not - #6 looks very promising considering #4 put #3 in the shade a long time ago.
I guess dewatering is mutually inclusive for all the drills - and they might all be as good as #6 once they are all dry (relatively). Until we can distribute electricity to Serowe , I still firmly believe TLOU are not throwing all hands to the pumps on gas extraction!!!
Wasting unuseable gas in bigger flares is not TG's way! And storing it will waste money. There is more chance they are minimising the flows (e.g. #3 is partially shut off?). The lock gates will be opening soon in my imagination.
Filtered one - when will you realise nobody wants to hear from you?
All you get back is replies from people who ridicule you - the rest do not think you are worthy of a response! Even Whizzer has stopped ticking your posts when they criticise St Tony or one of his disciples.
Are you that Japanese soldier who surrendered 29 years after the war was over?
Was he hiding in Botswana with his head in the sand perhaps? Hence you view that you are some sort of expert on Botswana. You only had local newspapers to wipe your donkey with. You do realise you do not have to be a paid up subscriber on ADVFN to post, do you?
Were you subscribed because you were banned there? And are they too shallow to reject a subscription from the unwashed? You killed that board and reduced this one to a shadow of what it was. Like TLOU , we are beyond the point of no return , as a chatroom. It won't be long before humble pie is all there is for you on the menu!
I cannot be assed to unfilter him and look for the post that showed anybody ( who read and thought about what he was saying) what a huge dipstick he is!
It is obvious to everybody (except him) that the pension fun took all their 4/11 entitlement in December/January before adding even more from the undersubscribed shares. Still 169m spare until 30th April. I suspect this is news to Donkey even now!
The other obvious trait hehas involves criticisms of the world! Whatever he attributes to our failures reflect upon him tenfold!! He says I cannot stay away from his posts - that means he cannot ignore mine! This has gone on forever and a day both here and on ADVFN! I stopped on ADVFN and posted on LSE for years - and then he got onto LSE with VPN or LSE relaxed their hunt for his posts or people stopped reporting "*Ken*" who had been banned! *Ken* derivatives from Kenmare the other share he plagued for years! I never reported Bucklersfern to LSE because he used it very sparingly.
He is out of his depth - and does not know when he is beat - hence he never argues his point with anybody far less me. Does he hate me or does he envy me?
The one thing he was right was I need TLOU to come good!
I invested in HMV,AVN,SXX,USOP and TLOU big time.
The first 3 failed , USOP exists and will go under in time, leaving me with TLOU.
I hedged my bets as advised - and watched the progress here like a hawk!
Fox lied at HMV, Williams was an idiot at AVN, Fraser was a dreamer and a liar at SXX , and the Irishman at USOP was, and is, a dreamer and optimist of massive proportions? Throughout all of this TG has be a glowing light at the end of the tunnel!
I was clearly disappointed in him for a few weeks when I believed he screwed us over a placing! I was stupid to not trust TG! He knew the placing would be a disaster and our survival depended upon sophisticated investors and the Pension Fund!!!
The DOC and pension fund and the Gilby family have saved our bacon plus some unsung heroes like Stephen Hemsley in the UK - silent partners who held their shares (no RNS to show they reduced their significant holdings belowthe thresholds).
Tony Gilby has been brilliant to get us where we are imho. And Donkey is oblivious to it all!
I suppose they'll bury the pipe once it is tested?
Never envisaged a pipeline looking like that - I pictured huge all metal pipes going to Orapa but flexible piping like this would make it much easier though security would need to be higher in some way. What animals could dig up a gas pipeline?
Tight spread here but ASX holding 4.4c (2.283p equivalent).
People who are expecting some of the £169M balance might be taking their profit?
If there are enough of them 1.8p might be coming, but low volumes currently 200k and 100k sells. I wonder if the chosen ones (if they exist - I hope there are none) have been confirmed?
Oh dear .... I said "are a hotpotch" and then did a spell check on hotpotch!
I do that by selecting the word, right click and new tab! Spelling was fine!
With no action needed I continued typing and overwrote the selected word?
I look at the keys on this Dell , not the screen , so I was oblivious to hotpotch disappearing! Explains some of my typo errors - my memory is so poor I use that spell check more and more with time. Once I doubt the spelling I lose confidence in what is correct nowadays. So annoying!
Agreed Winni.
Clue, If you filter him he becomes a more colourful poster guaranteed! Instead of Blue and Black posts he adds GREEN to these pages , and that is a TLOU ambition GREEN all the way to Botswana's #1 power house.
That GREENERY is all the support he is likely to bring to TG, TLOU , CBM power (not calor gas cyinders) , a pipeline to Orapa, Solar , and one day (I hope) Hydrogen.
The interest rate of less than 8% on the bonds is not that high imho.
If we can get 8% more than the Aussie price of $10 to $12 over the net 40 odd years it will be peanuts eventually. With the Botswana import price being up to $30 (or $40 as suggested on here from Mozambique was it?) it is a doddle!
Say $15 , then that is 50% uplift on $10 , or 40+% on $12!
What the unit of power is for those prices has always been a mystery. Mw/hr and joules and multiple joules and AUD and USD and dollars or cents are!!
But the proportions and percentages on a like for like basis make my arithmetic accurate chaps. That will not be obvious the Green One for certain. Ignore his inevitable tripe and let him carry on believing we are still back in 2014 when TLOU and Sekaname were planning to deliver gas in calor gas containers with lorries! The have both moved on to delivering electricity thrould wires - but Donkey still lives in Ian Kharma times with dinkeys in a treadmill to power the drills no doubt? He is still at primary school level and his clock is not ticking.
They "can be placed by the 30th" could not be vaguer?
It makes sense to scrap them and seek a better price at a leter date.
But potential buyers , 1.8p for a 2.4p share , so there will be loads of them .... look to be at the whim of the company? I think we should all be offered our 4/11 entitlement when 1.8p was higher than the sp!!!! With 14 days to go I hope the 169m are scrapped!! It is the only fair way imho!
I did find this though ...
"Tlou Energy Ltd - Botswana and Southern Africa-focused energy company - In the first half of the year ending June 30, interest income rises to AUD11,383, or GBP5,894 from AUD6,351 the year before. Pretax loss narrows to AUD1.8 million from AUD2.2 million a year ago. Managing Director Tony Gilby says: "The company has made excellent progress over recent months, and we are getting very close to first revenue. Having direct access to the power grid opens up our gas field to a huge market. It has taken hard work and significant investment over many years to get to this point, and we look forward to delivering power and earning first revenue for the company as soon as possible."
Current stock price: 2.20 pence, up 2.3%
12-month change: up 79%
By Sabrina Penty, Alliance News reporter"
Written by a James Bond girl perhaps?
"Having direct access to the power grid opens up our gas field to a huge market. " is the interesting bit (apart from Sabrina #2 , I still remember #1 from Arthur Askey days).
Does BPC alone suggest a huge marker to anybody here? Not it does not to me either! Donkey was talking through his ass yet again! His ass is Sabrina #3 perhaps?
Clue - in a decade the idiot has never backed up a single claim he has made , not once!
He has repeatedly ridiculed me and thinks he can teach me if I have faith in him!
He does the same to TG whose record stands up to any criticism thrown at him.
We all know that TLOU would be dead under anyone else's leadership. Tony is so careful with money , frugality is the word , and he has never endangered our investments. He traded time for debts and it has been a while.
Donkey would have installed Martello towers and fighter planes to guard us against the civil war, hired umpteen drills to get economy of scale from gas flows , bought out Sekaname because they were his golden boys etc etc in short we;d have died in the maternity delivery ward!
The share price will drop to 1p again - we just have to wait for Ian Kharma to replace Massisi as president! Clue just filter him please! He is a nut case! A scrotum? A bag of wind! Quite hairy when he says he is always right? He is also prepubescent like most primary schoolkids with ADHD.
Yesterday my IG ISA was showing well over £1000 in the black , both LSE and ASX shares in profit. Currently showing a small loss on LSE @ 2.29p instead of 2.4 closing price. I expect he'll be very pleased for me considering he has seen me averaging down every month with pathetic £300-£500 buys to keep frequent trade status and the wolf from the door on Custodial Charges.
The falling sp dragged my holdings below the threshold for CUSTODIAL CHARGES EXEMPTION from being way above. It won't be long before they are not a concern,
Thank you Saint Tony!
And guess what ? He berated him with all thr carp we expect from him. I spent ageds deciphering what Eric had to say and posted it wird for word so he might understand the speech! He never did of course!!!!
Eric was on our side but there were doubters saying the methane gas we would find would not be up to scratch and TG did not how to pull a third rabbit of the hat.
He has been filtered for months and after all this time he merely murmurs tripe!!!! He is offal perhaps?
The pension fund needs to earn money to pay folks pensions - does he think they’d spend good money after bad in Tlou???? His civil war would be possible if they blow everyones pensions and the Govt sat back at watched!
He is brain dead if he has one.
This board is so quiet I took a peek at BOTS post to see what gems he has to offer.
Eric Molale gave us a speel years ago in which he said CBM powered ELECTRICITY was the way to go, as long as it is AFFORDABLE?
That does not sound to be like the price is non-negotiable.
And TG said there was room above $12 (Aussie estimated prices) and $30 (imported diesel powered electricity) for TLOU to do better than OZ and for Botswana to do better too!
Of course BPC cannot dictate what we get! They can refuse to pay our price and if they do that how can they stop us selling to someone else?
They would not adopt the poles and wires of course - but they'd negotiate settlement for the outlay TLOU had on them within the price the agree? That increases the price because they are repaying TLOU for providingthe line.
If we sell to SAPP I guess we'll have to swallow the cost of production and maintenance ourselves - and that will push our price up anyway?
I think that was where my price of $18 came from? $12 as a base plus line costs either way plus a bit? $18 - $30 looks likely to me. UNLESS $30 for diesel power has been blown up or down by Putin. The only way is up imho.
If BPC can name their price - I'll be totally amazed - and canned gas is still in Donkeys' head - we and Sekaname dumped those ideas yonks ago? Is he always as polite about me? Filtering agrees with him! Pipeline to Orapa is the nearest to canned gas we'll get!!! And has been for years! Canned Hydrogen maybe one day? Not gas!
ASX up to 4.4c at close , looking good! 2.286p equivalent. The 1.8p 3.5c shares only have influence for 19 days and the mystery continues where those 169M are going?
Not TLOU's finest hour imho - it should be clearer who is going to prosper from a significant price drop that we never seem to get? Timings on options are so unfortunate for us minnows it seems. That misfortune guarantee we cannot hedge against dilution like the chosen few can.
