You do know that dividends paid on shares held in an ISA are sheltered from income tax?

Hopefully that helps with your strategy, I.e. put all the divi payers in your ISA.

In fact get everything in your ISA. Then you'll have no need to worry about CGT when Lorne does fire our rocket to the moon...

Bentnose - Completely understand what you're saying but I think there's less need to do that here. With a company like GGP, their exposure is clearly gold (with side credits) in one jurisdiction.

Letting a mid-tier or major mining company into our projects would prove pretty dilutive.

For me it's a case of being patient whilst the company brings the most advanced of it's assets through to a sale or development financing. Keep working methodically in the meantime until such a time that the company can loosen its financial belt.

Just my opinion, but one I think will be shared by those of influence within DGR particularly.

I'm pretty sure that this is because Newcrest has a significant % ownership and is project operator at Havieron whereas they have no involvement at Alpala/Cascabel.

I don't believe there to be any sinister reason.

I was looking through their half yearly report a while back and found the exact same. They provide updates on the projects they have direct ownership stakes of, whether they are operator or not.

You haven't invested your funds to forward all the things I mentioned unless you have taken part in a placing of new shares to give the company new cash.

I'm confident we'll all be kept informed as and when the news is available. As investors we don't choose when we get an update from the company. We're at the mercy of what they consider to be appropriate.

There are many reasons why the share price has softened Rich3r. Copper prices were weak for a large portion of the year given the wrangling between China and the US and we had some not insignificant issues is country with the attempted mining referendum.

Mather secured investment from BHP at 45p to pretty much cover the 2019 budget. A move like that ought to have re-enforced the share price for longer than it did.

Management can only control the company. They can't control the share price or the market. So providing management concentrate on and deliver on the things I mentioned, the share price will look after itself.

I want management to be managing the company, completing the studies, defining the edges of the deposit(s), progressing regional exploration, securing a good, no a GREAT funding package for Alpala mine development and arranging the first offtakes and deals for Cascabel concentrate.

If that means we don't get an RNS once a week then I'm all for it.

What is the main purpose of that? To make you feel better?

I find it staggering that people feel the need to email the company regularly to ask for updates. Yes you may hold anywhere ranging from a few to quite a few shares but be patient and wait for the company to make announcements through the formal channels. I appreciate there's been a shift in terms of company reporting and we don't get an update once every 3 weeks saying 500m at 1.4%cu eq etc. For me, that is representative of where the project is.

There is ample material out there, whether that be company video presentations and media, slide stacks, broker coverage etc.

I don't think this company has let investors of a 5-7 year timeframe down and therefore they have my trust and confidence until that position changes. That's my stance.

The bottom line at the moment is that we have a MRE that was due a couple of weeks ago. A report like this can be held up for any number of reasons. The company previously issued soft-ish targets and can't be held to firm deadlines by private investors.

In my opinion we are the smallest wheel in a much larger cog here and it still remains to be seen whether we'll truly have our day in the sun as investors or whether we'll be hampered by the geo-political risks that still exist.

There is so much going on for SOLG in 2020 and as I write the macro surrounding copper is turning in our favour. I just think a little more patience and a bit of perspective is what is needed at the moment, not getting all blustery on Twitter when the company posts an article. Your comment and input has always been at it's best when it has been research orientated with insightful analysis and comment.

TheItalian - I don't really understand the continued ire towards the SOLG twitter account.

I'm sure when they have news of relevance they will release it. Until then it's just a game of patience.

That is the N2S. They're a business with financial responsibilities. Wages are one of many expenses.

We have to bear in mind that we are issuing stock to save cash. Geodrill aren't investors like we are. They get a couple more clips of stock yet and I just don't think we can assume they are going to behave like investors would in terms of the value curve.

If anyone is in any way worried about a bit of selling, regardless of who it is, worth going back through the investment case.

- Very tidy lithium project coming together in Ghana with excellent metallurgy.
- Promising gold ground in Cote d'Ivoire with results pending from the drill campaign at Zaranou.
- Dorothe and the surrounding ground in Chad. Anomalies that will be followed up on in due course.

I still don't believe IRR is a stock where you can make any accusations of market abuse.

Fellas - there was a particular event today which may or may not be responsible for some of today's trade. Might be worth reading back on the RNS releases.

There were decent buys amongst the selling.

That's a fairly cynical view Costa but no doubt there will be some truth in it.

Everyone has different goals when it comes to investing and I found that difficult to appreciate at first. But it is what it is.

This company has been working hard concurrently across all project areas in a market that has been pretty harsh to say the least. They've done a 3 drill campaigns in Ghana and are now testing the main priority at Zaranou, with the JORC and first drill results eagerly awaited.

There's no doubt that this will recover at its own pace but what is apparent right now is that at 9p it was well oversold.

If we make a good fresh discovery at Zaranou to compliment the historic drilling then the market will start to appreciate the potential of Ironridge.

The share price, will look after itself.

2 of those 100k trades (the 2 at 9.2p) look like buys to me.

May be wrong though.

Big year for IRR. Be interesting to see what the first Zaranou drills produce. If they follow up on the promise of the groundwork then it's going to be all systems go for the company.
