Turbotastic - I haven't exactly just turned up myself so I can relate.
That said, we know that the company is progressing a large, tier 1 project in a developing jurisdiction.
We knew this when we invested back then, so nobody can say we didn't know what we were getting in to.
The PFS pushback, whilst disappointing, is the first material pushback on a deliverable by SOLG in as long as I can remember (I'm not talking about something coming out a week after the quarter end that it was expected here).
However, there are extenuating circumstances to compliment what has gone on that shouldn't have gone on.
Investors have the choice when it comes to jam today or jam tomorrow. There's many listed companies that generate revenues from product sales, whether that be commodity related or not. Investors often pick the pre-development jam tomorrow opportunities because the capital growth uplift is larger to compensate for the additional risks.
We made our decision then so we need to own it now.
The other option is to go after those jam today's stocks now.
People want SOLG to become jam today through a takeover but I think they're coming to realise that's not really how it works in the vast majority of cases.
