Zoros - i can't dispute that the pace has dropped off significantly for whatever reason(s). Covid-19, corporate obfuscation, geopolitical changes, or whatever it may be. It's one of the trevails of working in a 'yellow light' jurisdiction as Nick used to call it.
2029 is a long way off and if i was nailed for a prediction right now, I'm going to say that SOLG won't be building it. That isn't a climb down from previous comments by the way; I still maintain SOLG have been working with a production strategy in mind, but as you say I'm starting to take a view that Ecuador needs this quicker.
From a company milestone point of view we get the Alpala PFS in Q4. That has to tell us the viability of the known resource at Alpala based on the reworked mine plan and adjusted economics. I think investors should give soe thought as to what this might look like. We'll then get the Tandyama America bolt on in Q1 and can look to a complete DFS that incorporates the existing plan with the new resource.
I'm just expecting a solid opening resource at Porvenir without it being a barnburner. I'm leaving myself room to be pleasantly surprised rather than eventual certain disappointment. Porvenir will be subject to the same politics though, obviously, despite being in a different province and may even be more sensitive in this regard as a pure open pit type pf mine. That could be one for EcuaDaz.
I think we'll have a good idea of where this is going and when in 6 months and it should be nailed on in 12 given that we'll have drilled new regionals on top of the existing project development.
