Holy ssshhhiiittt.
£1.70.
My best estimate is £2, so at least you would win a bid and walk away after all those years with 20%.!
CW.
I now 100% totally agree.
I had huge holding last year, eventually I did the sensible thing and spread it, but then was 100% confident that RR's results would be awesome........Doh.! Look how that turned out!!! :-)
Tui
Carnival
Easyjet
Lloyds
Gifford American.
Gifford Shin Nippon
IAG
Nano
RBD

Will be my holdings......eventually.........
Romseyone.
See reply to CW, hopefully should tell you everything worth while.
CW.
I gave the input to RR101 that reflects the current reality of the situation.
.............
Basically, not technical, or to the point.
Samsung worked with Nano 10+ years ago, then all of a sudden stopped.
Nano tried to work things out with Samsung over the years but with no luck.
Nano took Samsung to court, which the judge first made the parties go to the Patent Review Board.
Samsung's defence from the start was that Nano's Patents are incorrect.
The Patent Review Board awarded out of 47 disputes, all 47 to Nano. Nano basically wiped the floor with Samsung winning 47-0
Samsung has raised two recent motions against Nano, docket 84, and 133.
Nano just re-beat Samsung with the two key motions, docket 133 and docket 84, again, Nano wiped the floor with Samsung.
To put this into perspective, Nano was over £2 a share before Samsung screwed them over nearly 10 years ago.
Every Samsung QD TV sold could well have a $100 fee, plus willful infringement/damages on top.
If Nano get the ending right, this could well be the largest damages ever set against Samsung.
Nano have ~300m shares, and the settlement could be anywhere between £300m to £6bn depending on whether you take a low low estimate or the world wide sales plus 3 x infringement damages plus best case license fees.
Court case soon, but noting that Samsung just lost these two key motions, the "gut feeling" now is a settlement.
Obviously it's a court case, with a jury, but so far, Nano have won every part of every step.
Nano also has Mintz Attorney's, which are one of the worlds top Patent lawyers.
Separately, Nano have signed a new deal with STMicro, and the potential is that the new Nanodots will be used by Apple in iPhone 14.
Apple was Nano's "secret" customer, and Apple basically paid for Nano's new Runcorn facility,
So potential is, in real terms, I think as good as it is ever going to get.
Badland, that's just the spread.
Realistically this may fly on Tuesday, or bounce around until 19th September.
Next week is important as that's when the judge sits down with Samsung and Nano to tries to "bash heads" to stop this getting to court.
RR101.
Another 14% + day so far.......
:-)
I just want to point out that it's 140% up since I told you 6 months ago.
It's awesome to see us back to nearly 50p, but what the hell is going on.
Apart from I'm guessing people maybe trying to take positions for next week's "discussions" and September's court case...
So are we going to go to 50p, then slip 20% down to 40p............???
Nothing, just more running this down and down.
Probably 2.5p incoming in the next week or two.
Then they can pay us 0.01p dividend and everyone can declare victory I guess, us poor PI's can then get fccuked over a little more.
CW. That is my point.
Now vs then.
Then the belief was it was going to bounce around the 150 mark.
Omnicron took a chunk out for no reason, purely scaremongering.
I agree that today is a completely different view point, but we know today, we can see today.
My point to answer the previous posts was that nobody saw this going from 150 to where we are now and it sitting at mid 80's for this long.
RR's problems of old are resolved, namely trent, they have financing challenges because of wrong hedging and fixed contracts when costs are through the roof.
We will see what happens after the ITP cash comes in, when they are also going to use some of the other cash in the bank and zero down the debt/slash it hugely and announce future dividends which will all reset RR, in theory, back to investment grade, in theory, and then, in theory we will see a rise, in theory.
But, of course, if China invades Taiwan, of North Korea declares war on South Korea, if China declares a military exercise against South Korea because of their missile shield deployments, if the west give Ukraine Western planes that pushes Putin over the edge and the Ukraine "special military exercise" expands, then I guess RR will be 20p.
Nobody saw this going from 150 to 120 to 100 to 79p in September last year, nobody in their right mind would ever think that RR and all the travel stocks would be worse off that August 2020, after the first lock down.
Yes, people have posted changed updates as new news happens, and they post a downwards view, but anyone can do that.
Nobody predicted that Omnicron would screw people over again to the point it did across the UK stock market, nobody predicted that Russia would finally do what they have. Nobody predicted that the economies would be hit this hard, that includes the BoE, the Fed, and every finance lead.
As I said, yes, people have posted new views as new news comes out
Pre-Trial conference with judge 18/8 & 19/8. Hopefully judge tell Samsung to stop being silly and settle, as in his eyes the case is 100% against them..... (my words not his.!).
Jury selection 12/9. Court case will take x days.
That's good new.
If Interest are at 4% then the banks will be paying 5%+ to savers.
I only need 3%
So Genedrive I made a fortune on, by pure luck, I bought in a few years ago at 9p, forgot I had them because they were in a different trading portfolio, and I sold them at over £2 during covid.
They have dropped and dropped since with some spikes in between though.
They are now 19.9p again, after a 10% rise today from 18p
They have invented a hearing system that basically will save hearing loss in millions of babies over the years, it's being trialled now in the NHS.
This is not a get rich quick punt, this is a buy now and hold punt, but this could truly be incredible.
Additionally, they have a Covid PCR testing system that provides results instantly, which although they haven't completed any sales, if covid stays for year, this could well be the next "living with covid" logic.
Anyway, up to you all, DYOR.
and look at my predictions.! LOL.
I sold Carnival and bought more RR only to lose 6% on RR and miss out on 15% on Carnival.
When we get back to 90, that's it, I'm selling my chunk, keeping a modest holding, and buying across multi multi multi shares.
nothing.
no news.
just MM's playing games.
We will lose 15% tomorrow.
RR101.
I originally bought years and years ago. My avg price is 12p now.
This lawsuit has been coming for years, but the motions are now in full swing and the case is due to be heard in Mid Sept.
RR101.
There is news.
Nano just re-beat Samsung with two key motions, docket 133 and docket 84, again, Nano wiped the floor with Samsung.
To put this into perspective, Nano was over £2 a share before Samsung screwed them over nearly 10 years ago.
Every Samsung QD TV sold could well have a $100 fee, plus willful infringement/damages on top.

Court case soon, but noting that they just lost these two key motions, the "gut feeling" now is a settlement.
So to sum this up...
Yep.... We are all fccuked......
Luckily I'm only a 5.5p avg unlike some, but holding 1m shares, so obviously either I take the hit now and write off the £25k, or I let it ride and pray and hope.
HOLD ON.............
I've just re-read the Chairman's statement........
"Based on their current assessment and subject to the points noted above the Board anticipates declaring the first dividend later this year."
So that's December then I guess..............
So lets get this into perspective.
Rise from 2.6p to 5p because production good and solid, and also loads of money around so we're going to get a dividend, announced in July.
It's now August, no sign of any announcement, production....who knows what's happening.....but it's all ok, the BOD are getting their pay and updated salaries.
So, are we all doomed.?
Is this truly going to go private and the shareholders will get 0.001p per share.......
Answers on a post card......
