Eureka Starchild ,you've figured out why I DON'T' want a merger - how many times do I need to post my reasons, for you to have 'suddenly' worked it out??
BPC & CERP have very different RISKprofiles - why make a diluted hybrid mess.
They are much more compelling investments individually than the confused mash that they are as a combined entity.
If P1 hits a duster, you get a Catastrophic price drop on both and irrespective of any modest CERP assets.
CERP holders have just added MASSIVE risk to their portfolio profile, whereas they could have moderated such with individual, separate buying of BPC stock in alignment with their overall PF.
This makes NO sense, apart from feeding in to the high risk, gambling mentality of Leo Koot, whose too impatient to wait the 5 years to develop CERP.
He wants 'excitement' now and whatever the wider implications.
The price here is progressively 'downtrending' in the meantime, with nothing but wild conjecture on the part of people like Starchild, in their multi coloured Unicirn jumpsuits!

"High risk investment bonum suggests?" as Jay proclaims.
Try reading my post from 07:53 back in its entirety Jay - you'll find it somewhat more balanced than the majority of 'fodder', usually fed to shareholders on this BB.
I refer to 'mitigation' in the risk' and other pertinent factors, beyond the 'itll be a million pence tripe'
I have a core holding which I certainly wont be relinquishing but addingfurther only on specific News developments warranting such - and as part of an overall PF risk profiling.
I hope that helps - now back to the 'yipee' style of posting most prefer reading here.
Atb & have a lovely day
Vote NO!
When is it due?
Hopefully we'll get some greater insight into the situation and give en his opportunity to be more 'prepared' regarding investor concerns & issues.
My view isn't as harsh as some are portraying and would ask - why is Harry publicly stating I nu.erous posts, that he's 'playing the game's 'smoke & morrors' etc
It seems to defeat his purpose!
I can't speak for Harry but certainly do understand the level of chagrin experienced through what seems 'duplicity' by the BoD in their treatment of Ordinary shareholders and marked deviation from a stated policy.....'we're only 3 weeks away fro our 100% focused P1 drill'.....whilst arranging the merger months in advance...??
When has Harry been negative towards the company in the past.....when have I?
Perhaps we may have every reason to be annoyed at the way the Company have acted....maybe others also 'secretly' feel the same!
Atb
Which we can't obviously.....so no replues about the obvious please ;)
How many of us would actually prefer the situation previous to the Maerger RNS.....?
Sometimes it's easy to fall I to the trap of backing the co.pany come what may - but if we 'honestly' answered that question?
How many of us would prefer the route to drilling Perseverance 1.....without CERP and the circa 900M additional shares that represents?
Well, we are actually in a position to still drill P1 and offload the burden that CERPs additional dilution represents - just VOTE NO!
I still hold a very significant number of BPC shares and still back the company to drill Perseverance 1 - just without CERP around our backs and not feeling obliged to back the company, irrespective of those views.
It's like a wife finding our her husband has been having an affair.....and he turns around and says the new woman will at least be able to help with the housework - Vote No!
IK, I thought you had ripped up my invite to Langans, in a fit of rage, lol - big love to you x

Apparently we have a bullish sentiment, precipitating another move up on the price.
Regardless, I prefer to look at the underlying investment case with a general awareness of what I see in the price progression.
We have a strong foundation for a .major step change, as Petro Matad prepare to transition into a bona fide revenue generating producer, Partnership talks that have been undertaken for full field development, further exploratory assets in the PF to grow the company.....and a Govt closely aligned with the aims of the company.
We're aware of the transformational catalyst that's due at any time and the limited 'free float' that should underpin the buoyant sentiment off progressing the company's strategy, just as it acted against the share price to cause the over done drop previously.
That's why we easily see the periodic 20% plus moves, albeit that should be dwarfed with the Exploitation license news as expected.
Good price stabilisation and well positioned for the next push upwards, hence good to be already positioned in the investment.
As always, for those new to the stock or only partially invested based on hearsay, do your own independent research - I believe that will fully validate why many of us are so Confident of holding MATAD at these levels and at this juncture in its progress towards a Mid- tier Oil producer.
Atb & have a good day all
"I could also have my tongue glued to my cheek!"
- Let's hope it's not your butt cheek IK ;)
Bryn, COPL wasn't any rec'd of mine on your fantasy portfolio (MATD was), but a response to Onlygreens post, that conveniently linked into the point about rmindividual risk profiles of stocks.
Only6greens - I hold COPL and constituting a small part of my PF, given the very high risk associated with the stock (mitigated somewhat of late) and referring to the previous post re: varying g risk profiles making up any PF.
Its had a blistering rise over a few weeks, from 0.035p to circa 0.2p.

So, we've all agreed its NO vote then ;)
Atb & have a good evening all
In case people missed the irony (given how highly strong some can be), I think a Portfolio is best composdd of a diverse risk profile of stocks - reflecting individual relationships to risk.
Another reason why BPC & CERP shouldn't merge, IMHO, and be held individually if necessary.
Have a good evening all
BPCs are ALPHAs - CERPS are BETAs....??
It's 'Animal Farm'......I told you ;)
Lol

I think we'll all be happier when the various viewpoints are accepted as having equal rights rights to be aired here.

Vote 'NO' and invest in BPC separately then!
I suspect many of those tying their banner to the YES vote, would gladly 'wish away' the merger RNS if they could - how many reading this are REALLY in that camp, despite protestations on the BB to the contrary??
We can change this very easily by Voting NO in a sufficiently large number...!
The share price plunge will be catastrophic on a dry hole regardless, so let's assess BPC & CERP as separate investments.....and invest separately in each according to our relationship to risk & overall PF structure.
Why mix supper & desert in a blender!!

Harry, given IKs very reasonable outlook over most of his posting (apart from a little falling out with Fatal some time back), I'm presuming he was indulging himself in some of his vintage red.
I can't speak for him of course, but would guess that may be the case.
I've had my Langan's invite withdrawn but laughed that off, given the new swathe of CERP holders who may be in attendance - I prefer the adventurous attitude of our World class binary play' original BPC holders ;)
Hopefully IK will extend his olive branch (or alternative appendage) to you and we can all agree to have a 'YES' or 'NO' vote here (and post accordingly).....as mutual holders of BPC stock, whether reduced or not.
Many Prophets were also misunderstood ;)

Keith, I agree with you re: the whole Covid issue (and also unreal the Saudi /Russia production tin dispute times at the worst possible point).
All cause mortality no different and circa 450K deaths globally (out of over 7 Billion people), most of whom were in the 'high risk category' anyway, so would likely have been succumbed regardless.
Apologies if the above sounds detached - every life matters - but just looking at it from a statistical perspective out of convenience for the argument towards a global over reaction - for whatever reason.
Regarding the '3 weeks to drilling' - I just dont buy it, given the lack of info released and merger talks no doubt taking place behind the scenes, of the '100% focused' P1 drill.
Atb
IK
There's no need for you & Harry to get into a scuffle.....why the need to even get to that point.
There've been so many 'threaths' primarily from the 'YES' contingent, veiled or explicit.....its unreal.
Let's not forget, we have a choice re: the Vote!
Atb
That's the problem - he posts blatantly False / misleading info.
Ignoring him only lets such information be perpetuated, which isn't helpful.
On a separate note, good consolidation again today and with a repeat of the usual pattern of late......another significant break upwards can be reasonably expected.
