Not sure the EA would be that restrictive in mentioning a 'specific rig' and would think it would the 'type' that would be more relevant.

I'm not aware of the specifics of the EA of course.

Interesting points IK and something that no doubt has crossed a few if our minds, particularly with the tactical prowess that Simon & Etyan have demonstrated in bringung us to this point.

None of us could have predicted the macro economic situation but that doesn't detract from the key issue here ie BPC will be Drilling shortly.

The media experience their own 'fatigue' in due course, partly because their audience tend to become sonewhat conditioned to the hysteria - it was 'bird flu' not so long ago, albeit without the extent of market reaction we've seen this time.

It's not like this is a more fundamental issue, such as the Sovereign debt crisis of a few years ago - the more immediate effects would have blown over by the time we drill imo and indeed, that's what my focus remains on - DRILLING!

Let's see if we do get any FARM IN surprises before the CLN date.

We're getting closer every day to the Explotation License, which indeed will be transformational for the company - no 'exact' date unfortunately but 'very confident' for the end of Q1 2020, according to the CEO.

With such a strong underlying investment case, that's not really surprising.

More News, more price rises.

I think we can all be pretty confident and with good justification, of the price being significantly greater than current levels drill results.

Many of us have been holding for some years for the bigger gains inherant in this investment, hence a few extra days for further price appreciation aren't a major concern.

Corona virus will have flown away like bird flu in due course and investors will start focusing in on our potential 'middle east size' asset etc.

We can discuss the likelihood of success for Perserverence 2 off the excellent Seismics but peehaps can agree that a lot of upside to come, as we progress to the point where we await said results.

I had a lovely walk in the grounds of a Stately home this morning, the sun shining serenely on a lake with swans gliding over the still water.

That's how I feel about holding BPC at this juncture - very comfortable and looking positively to good times ahead.

If indeed we do get positive news, the rationale for such being set out by several contributors in previous posts - the price will open at a significant gap up to current levels.

We've also noted the extreme difficulty in securing stock on any inkling of bullish sentiment and without it going to NT.

Given the massive upside if progress is made towards drilling and the difficulties likely to be encountered securing stock in amy reasonable amount, current smaller gains may be put into perspective.

That's why I'm retaining my complete holding and despite being able to realize profits at the prevailing share price.

Obviously, that's assuming we are heading towards some transformational news, which the current discussion centres on.

Yes, It's good to see the somewhat renewed buoyancy in the wider market and especially after last weeks correction.

Ftse pre-market showing blue and looking towards the continuation of the momentum that we saw with the BPC share price, prior to said correction and as we move towards drilling next month.

Many of those who took funds out will no doubt be looking to put them back and noting the aforementioned indications at least of market stability - probably overall healthy for the share price /markets moving forward, albeit not particulary great to watch at the time.

Let's hope he's not being held in The Tower, due to rabid previous expenditure...!!

On a somewhat more serious note, it's an interesting situation and hopefully, along with his recent cash injection, a prelude to some significant catalyst for the company moving forward towards their intended aims.

As has been discussed previously, the size of the aforementioned cash injection with relation to company expenditure rate, does strongly suggest very near term developments.

Said developments may take several forms or a combination, which I'm sure will be communicated to the market in due course.

Interesting time to be holding COPL stock.

It's also interesting that 'several interested parties' are at the negotiating table, hence unless there's a working towards a multi party agreement, one of those parties may indeed look to get a jump ahead of its competitors .

We don't know the intricacies of those negotiations, hence can only speculate but it looks like a compelling situation playing out behind the scenes.

Hopefully a good move to make up losses of the last few days today and before further RNS releases.

Markets in Far East seem to be recovering sonewhat, so let's see how we fare here - usually these sorts of events see 'overkill' by the media and then it's all back to normal, albeit the main market indices probably needed some form of correction, concensus suggesting they were overbought.

Fatal, GROW UP - No ones interested!

Back to BPC, who have confirmed the Drilling timeline and nothing having changed regarding the strength of the investment case, apart from the Corona virus and its macro market effect.

More people are now (correcly) putting it into a more realistic context in relation to the Flu virus, as has been communicated through some excellent posts on the subjecf this weekend.

Markets in Far East seem to be recovering sonewhat, so let's see how we fare here - usually these sorts of events see 'overkill' by the media and then it's all back to normal, albeit the main market indices probably needed some form of correction, concensus suggesting they were overbought.

BPC stays the same and onward to drilling afer 10 years of delay - certainly something to look forward to for genuine holders of the stock and those looking to enter positions.

Perhaps it's more helpful to view any stock specific price moves in relation to the wider market developments.

It'll be interesting to see how if any, new financial measures by the Fed will impact market sentiment going forward?

From a stock specific perspective, we can reasonably be seen to be moving towards the Exploitation License issuance - indeed, we'd probably have been picking up a greater head of steam on the price monentum, without the Corona virus / wider market impact.

Let's see how it goes when that factors removed and with the markets reconnizing the respective dangers if the Corona virus v seasonal flu and beyond the hysteria that cuurently abounds.

All will play out as it will.

Regarding Fatal, I think the real issue he has is my ignoring of him most of the time - I'll make an exception in this one post and then back to being dismissive of him again.

He actually stated multiple times in the past that he didn't BPC would 'ever drill' - he's been proved WRONG as the bigger picture has played out but is now conveniently & confortably invested, whilst others have possibly dismissed the opportunity on his hearsay - as others have stated though, everybody is responsible for their own decisions.

His short term views on developments leading to a potential drill were correct in the past but primarily based on the singular 'Bahamians are lazy & corrupt' premise (along with ramblings of alien invasions etc), as opposed to Uncas's more detailed breakdown of events at any particular moment in the BPC saga.

As has been pointed out to Fatal and which he's chosen not to take in board, my '14k posts' have been over a 10 year period and certainly not solely on BPC.....and hooefully most albeit not all, indicate a rational base to my opinion, whether proved correct or not as time progresses.

Regarding a potential Farm in before the 9th March, my view was consistent with many here and including IK & Jimtheknow, all of us giving our reasons and without having to resort to abuse in our posting.

Irrespective of the longer timeframe involved, Uncas and others have ultimately been proved CORRECT in their assertions that drilling would eventually take place - Fatal has been proved WRONG but is happily invested as of this moment, 'according to him'.

I don't particularly like having to write a post like this as it feeds into people like Faral's agenda, in making things personal. That rather than focusing on the investment and discussing any opposing viewpoints within solely that parameter.

I often think Fatal's posting isn't really about the investment but moreso about addressing issues he has, which may be assuaged somewhat by atracking orthers personally and 'feeding' off the responses given.

I'll go back to being dismissive ofbhim again, regardless of any further posts addressed to me.

Iamrich, that is a VERY high risk stock with a hazardous cash position - I have a 'punt' there but don't consider it a 'serious' investment and certainly no significant part of my PF.

The oilers I hold for that are MATD & BPC.

I'm not sure whose proclaiming an 800p share price MartyPoppins - most of the regular, LTHs are talking about double figures??

A lot of us are in this together in many respects and after many years following this story, hence & are certainly 'positive' and excited at the prospects of finally drilling - we are positive or we wouldn't be invested!

I wrote this on the MATD board, but equally applies here -

It's really not surprising that the price is in the red, when you look at what's happening in the wider market.

Take your pick of stocks and barring very few, most have been showing a loss over the last few trading days.

That certainly diesn't change the underlying investment case and its useful to 'correctly' identify the reason for the pruce drop to thereby recognise when that factor is removed.

Let's see what happens in the wider market next week.
