Markets Overeactions & Opportunities!10 Mar 2020 07:31
We all know markets tend to overeact, the effect being those who anchor themselves on the fundamentals tend to see through such turmoil and end up making money - many others suddenly find themselves out of a fundamentally winning investment.
There are exceptions of course where certain people have monopolised through effective trading, albeit those I suspect are fewer than the BB claims of such would have us believe.....but are out there and well done to them.
Unfortunately, many panick sell when the bigger drops are already done and may never re-enter at previous levels, hence miss out on the larger 'potential' gains.
So going back to what's happening at BPC and perhaps Jimtheknows post last night sums it up well, albeit probably missed by many reading tge BB this morning - I'll repost it if okay Jim;
"Companies look years in advance and BPC's extremely large localised structures would be very enticing to develop, a major can not say they turned down the chance to look at these as they may live to regret that in 10yrs.
The world is currently experiencing the effect of a transient condition, a transient condition that it will return from. As George Osbourne stated this morning, this is not the same as the broken financial system of 2008, this will be a 'short' sharp shock to the system from which it will quickly recover.
What the years of holding BPC has taught me is that when everyone thinks it's all over it usually isn't and it was us punters who misunderstood what we were being told, we allowed the skepticism in us to takeover and rule. As we stand we have no concrete facts the company has failed in it's mission, even the talk of losing the West Saturn is yet to be verified.
Seadrill are not the only company in town and the Notice of Award signed with them is not binding, there will be an alternative if Seadrill can not deliver. All the big players are in the GoM; Valaris (ENSCO & Rowan), Transocean, Maersk, Noble, Diamond Offshore, Stena...... a vessel will likely be available. The P#1 geology is not onerous, it is not HPHT.
As BPC stand they have ticked a lot of important boxes, including the most fundamental of which, the EA. They ARE drill ready. What remains is without doubt the final key piece in the puzzle but once it is sorted everything else will slot into place..... and I'll be splashing out on a Mega supply of Viagra."
Okay, the last bit was my inclusion as it's raining this morning......and I'm sure we're looking forward to a gusher in due course, without recourse to such ;)
In seriousness and as yesterday's RNS stated - 'We're progressing towards drilling......and 'Confident' for such.
I'll let the wider markets do what they want and keep my focus on developments here, as we move towards said DRILLING....and possibly/probably a Farm in announcement.....and our move back up and past any near time high Share price.
Atb & have a beautiful, clear sighted day all
