Clarity & New Drilling Dates25 Mar 2020 07:35
As expected, the drill has been re-scheduled for later in the year, with more certainty in operating outside the hurricane season and likely in a much more receptive macro economic climate.
There should be no issue with the License extension, for which we should have the requisite communication in due course -
"it being noted that the Company's licences and Bahamian regulations specifically define epidemic to be a force majeure event). As such, the Company is entitled to a corresponding extension to the current exploration term of its licences, equivalent to the duration of the force majeure event (up to a maximum of 1 year)."
The Bahamian economy is, as has been discussed previously, been devastated through the impact on tourism compounding previous issues and they're reliance on potential oil revenues would be self evident.
The Opec oil dispute should be resolved by then, albeit the current oil price doesn't have a 'direct' effect on the economics of the project - just wider market sentiment.
Strong support retained by parties to the financing and seen with the willing amendements to agreements currently in place.
Like many, not looking in on the markets too often at the moment but certainly expect my BPC holding to come good, albei in the extended timeframe noted and inportantly, in a better overall market environment.
Atb & have a most splendid & healthy day.
