The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Could be II’s offloading that caused the drop, off course this is just pure speculation but a fairly big drop to 1960 yesterday! Looks to have recovered with someone snapping it up, I was tempted but worried about why it had dropped so much. Hopefully your buy in at 2051 will come good Henry :)
Hi all, only recently started looking at this share based on Divi so excuse my limited experience but looking at recent information, I can’t fathom the drop in sp over the last 3 months - anyone have any thoughts on this?
Anyone with Trading212 not received dividend payment? Usually a day or 2 afterwards but still waiting!
Anyone with Trading212 - have you received dividend payment yet? Got mine last month fine but nothing received so far!!
.. nothing more to say really!
and was pleasantly surprised how busy it was!
On a bike trip along the Wirral, stopped of at a pub called the Johnny Pye mid afternoon & about 60% tables full inside & out. Stopped again on way back in the evening & was slightly busier. Good to see albeit only 1 pub on a Saturday
It’s DBAY Advisors - they are buying all the shares, which is why the SP is not moving.
RNS again as previously predicted with their holding increasing.
What I don’t know is whether it will be a good or bad thing but my research & gut says it will be positive but DYOR
I’ve been casting my eye on how busy Card Factory stores have been, always people in and a few queuing across several different stores so there is footfall.
Question is, how much are they spending & how does that compare to pre-cv-19 footfall & sales.
Also believe something bigger is happening with the sp & DBAY Advisors buying you shares
Going off the last 2 RNS I’d say it’s DBAY Advisors setting a buy at 50p - not sure how or why this is happening to keep it at 50p but I’m expecting another RNS to say they have increased holding again.
What I don’t know is whether this will be good or bad for SP. I’m hedging good for reasons already stated, just hope I’m not wrong!!
This has a countrywide feel to it, was around 60p mark for ages then positive sales info came in then boom! Unfortunately I got out before this :( good profit st the time, had I waited tho...!!
Sparta10 / Draft - thanks for heads up on reputation, do you have details or examples to share?
I’ve been told I have a reputation ;p buts it’s BS really haha but hope you get my drift!
Just doing sone standard google searches on DBAY, looks like they owned Eddie Stobart between 2014 and 2017 - SP was circa 100p & moved to around 280p whilst they owned it + re-bought them again nov 19.
Also bought Creston PLC in 2016 at 35% premium.
Could be wrong, happy to be educated otherwise but looks good for CARD sp with DBAY hoovering up shares?
From what I understand, DBAY Advisors manage the fund. Fund is cayman based, DBAY advisors IoM.
They are managed by DBay Advisors - this is taken from their website:
‘DBAY Advisors Limited (“DBAY”) is an international asset management firm with offices in Douglas (Isle of Man) and London. Our goal is to provide our investors with superior risk-adjusted returns while prioritising preservation of capital by focussing on investments with a high margin of safety‘
Be interesting to see where this goes tomorrow/Monday
Gut feeling is gov won’t announce confirmed air bridge countries until at least close of trade/prob over the weekend.
What are people’s thoughts? - mon open high circa £4.50 then climb to around £5.50 towards end of week or see spike mon then gradual decline throughout week?
3300 - moved some of that AML cash pot to here then!
That fecker hurt Friday but cashed some out myself before it hit 50p & put in here, so feeling slightly better (at the mo anyway!)
.. on a lighter note, received POS for Marstons by mistake today, big ‘Welcome, we are so pleased to see you’ banner! I will drink to that!
According to CARD’s website, circa 727 stores now open (no bloomin number, had to count so give or take 15 stores haha, surprised I got past 100!) with a further circa 268 stores opening 3rd July
Website undergoing some work - due to be fully back online 30th June
So operationally looking nearly there by 3rd July
Gerry!! Where you been haha!
Agree strange u-turn without explanation piohc1.. care to explain?
You bought into Card yet G?
Also to some points made earlier today, she did not exactly do a great job for Cards SP.
Growth through opening new stores appeared to be her main strategy - not fit for purpose in a declining footfall high street & rising overheads world (pay/rent) pre-cv-19, definitely not now & going forward.
