They're pre-revenue - every year has to be a loss in cash terms.
Per the CEO's comments some time back, the MDA unlocks extra funding as you would expect as the Songwe Rare Earths mine is now a fully saleable asset with c£25m ploughed into it already and given the inflationary period since then, I highly doubt you'd get the same work done for under £35m now.
In hindsight, it would appear that they took just enough cash at 5p to fill their boots before the MDA dropped but everyone else had the same opportunity too of course so it is what it is.
£12m mcap with assets that are quite clearly worth tens of millions of Pounds in a fire sale - I wouldn't worry about the cash position going forward from 5p - the next tranche of funding is likely to be large and, perhaps, at teens+ because look at what you're getting for your money ...
Last point on Songwe - it's worth 30p+ alone with Neodymium playing nicely from here butt here's a long way to go before it hits the heady heights of a couple of years ago perhaps - Trump could change that in the blink of an eye of course and remember Cotec's US govt execs on board ...
