Because they need to try and keep it going so they can find a buyer - they're facing a total loss on their loan(s) and here's the salient point - any money coming in to buy this/assets will be going to the creditors first - not the shareholders.

So, do the math, what can possibly happen here in the medium-term (12-18 months) to return any value of any kind to shareholders - they're £127m in the red already with an mcap of £50m?

A few/last million at nosebleed rates from Coris as they desperately hope that Kousossa will magically start shoving out tons of gold at $1.5k AISC by Q1, some 18 months since "first pour"?

I really would recommend waiting for the dust to settle chaps - how this stays above 4p from here I don't know but let's see.

well it had to come eventually and you can't say you weren't warned often enough over the last two years of tragic performance.

it's a good news/bad news proposition as per with hum - betts had to go but he's still here as chairman and that doesn't sit right with me at all.

i wouldn't.

obviously the creditors have pulled the plug here - but not the cash (yet but at 14% ...) - and made these changes happen, as i suggested they may as soon as coris went past 40% and the debt went to 3x the mcap.

to think that betts is still being paid having piloted this to a literal disaster just as gold hits my often shouted $2.7k target just beggars belief.

i'd chop my right arm off before putting any of my hard-earned towards his non-earned ever again but gl if you stay with it - i now think it a near certainty that this gets sold off at a firesale price (like dugbe - $75m wtf??!!) to a major.

perhaps that was the plan all along such is the unbroken record of ****e quarters these past years .
