RE: Sales23 Mar 2018 14:40
Well thank you.
Thing is nobody knows what is the cheapest and which is the best, this industry is clouded in secrecy, the only real way of knowing is to go through the sales process, even that tho will not perhaps produce an accurate comparison as each product for each application will vary.
There are several factors to take into consideration, I believe we are cheap, perhaps the cheapest, nobody has published prices on a fully installed basis so we have to really take what has been sold and who is buying for indicators. RedT have made commercial sales and those are profitable from an end user prospective, name anther company that has done so outside of subsidies or government contract.
Further the product is good, tested and proven in field in many different environments, this imo is critical for future mass rollout. Basically the clever part of these machines is how they are used, one company could produce a better return by having clever software and ideas on how best utilise that asset, each environment will be different hence getting real data back will be an advantage.
Users such as utilities will be using these to their own best gain/use. Even likes of Centrica have used third partly sprecialist to ensure these assets (battery storage) are used to their full potential.
Finally, it is not only cost of machine but what ongoing costs are, ours appears low and in addition transport or import duties from foreign competition would mean they need be quite a lot cheaper to compete with home grown production, these are not light prices of equipment, so for me we should have UK market nailed.
If anyone else would like chip in feel free, it is a discussion board for all.
