not sure if its right or wrong, if people already sold and are waiting for the rights issue then the price should shoot up straight after, the company is undervalued if the virus cleared as P/E is around 1.6 or something which really is ok to drop the rights issue, more safer to sell though and not be greedy then rebuy i think...
My thoughts was whether they raise the money through shares or externally it is still just a debt, not sure how the day will go when that happens, I am in profits just 3 or 4 % mostly was thinking of holding, or selling then re-buy after the rights issue, I can't fully get my head round it. Really the price should have already that news in it. I would have thought or expected the price to go down but it doesn't seem right for that to happen
Can anyone shed any light on how this might affect the share price as I thought it would have been already taken into affect currently.
"Davy cut its rating on IAG shares to 'neutral' ahead of an imminent painful rights issue for the owner of British Airways.
Analysts Stephen Furlong and Ross Harvey said IAG's rights issue, expected in September, was likely to dilute shareholders by at least 50% to raise €2.75bn (£2.5bn)."
The problem with the balance sheet is sales and the business will pick up at some point which is why i bought it, the P/E ratio is around 4 which already indicates the price per earnings is good value, but IAG is trading at the moment at a P/E of 2. Different for them as they burn through lots of money, people just aren't travelling yet, but in months this should change, months maybe weeks good vaccine new will drive it back up very quick , this is nice to be on if that happens.
Yesterday was a tough day for most stocks
mmm could have waited, but not in too deep so guess its ok, just nice to get the best price, im with the 400p broker ratings too, but think it should still pick up after covid vaccine which seems more like a certainty, guess wait now until it looks like its hit another bottom then invest more, unlikely to fail, i cant understand why people would sell though unless maybe they want to jump on to Tesla or other stocks, is good value , but can still go down more, guess wait for a month till Phase 3 results start showing...
Us dollar has fallen, but the corona number that are reported in America show the figures not to be rising at an increased rate any more this news when it goes public could boost stock price, ideally I want a good solid bottom price though, guess wait a while there is always another opportunity,
Check google corona numbers for the United States...
I could buy in increments...
Thinking about buying, but should i wait longer? Vaccine will be probably 3- 6 months away at least until we get it, as non have been approved yet, trying to get the best price this doesn't seem like the bottom.
Next acquired Asos and Lipsy, what's to stop next from acquiring Ted Baker and Super Dry or any other brand Boohoo sets it's sight on, I'm surprised they didn't acquire Pretty Little Thing though this is the main reason I think Boohoo are doing well.
