Just nipped over the border into England for a couple of pints in a pub where enjoying yourself is not verboten, as it currently is in Wales. People getting on with their lives, having fun - brilliant , as it should be.
On the way back I had the radio on - radio 2 was playing requests - and one of those was "Fight For Your Right to Party" by the Beastie Boys. Is that karma or what? That song needs to be the new Welsh/Scottish/Irish/English/British/European/World anthem.
They should also play it at Drakefords funeral (hopefully soon). I can sing along while I urinate on his coffin.

I really hope you are right, but you are clearly more optimistic than I am. As I have said before, my (already minimal) faith in our leaders/institutions has completely evaporated over the last 2 years. Not to mention the intelligence/fortitude of the general population.
Amyway, dry January is looming, which means I have about 10 hours to drink roughly 300 units. Wish me luck.

BB - I agree with you on what should happen next. Unfortunately, you have made the classic schoolboy error of placing your faith in those who make the decisions, and assumed that they have a modicum of common sense, gumption and integrity, as opposed to stupidity, cowardice and self-interest.
You really should know better by now.

Baxter - just read your earlier post, and it is excellent. I (unfortunately) live in Wales (although close enough to the border to drink in England - just got back from Tetbury - beautiful), and you could swop Wales for Scotland in any part of your inspiring rant. Drakeford and Sturgeon are the bastard twins of Frankenstein. Both taxpayer-funded, bureaucratic megalomaniacs, who , if given the chance, would lead their respective nations into oblivion. Of course, they won't care, because they both will have sailed of into the (taxpayer-funded) sunset. I loathe them both, and much as I love the United Kingdom as it as, I do wonder how much more of this the English will put up with.

Yesterday you came out with those vicious rumours about Santa , and now this "we are are all going to die" conspiracy theory. You are clearly losing the plot.
PS - I always loved the slogan used by Christian Aid - "We believe in life BEFORE death". Amen to that.

Agreed - the inherent bigotry, and thinly-veiled racism towards South Africa is obvious. You would think the woke/PC brigade at the BBC would be all over this, but they appear strangely silent.

You know what Spar - you may joke about it, but after the last 2 years I honestly wouldn't rule anything out. And with a lunatic like Drakeford in charge of Wales, I am confident that 'squirrel restrictions' will soon be in place.
