Emerald - chillax, you have not lost the plot - it's just that the Ukraine situation has come along, plus there are obviously other economic factors at play. Let's hope these things fade into the background, and the good news around Covid/Omicron comes to the forefront.
PS - not invested in cruise companies, but do worry about them - who want's to go on a socially-distanced, mask wearing cruise? Defeats the whole purpose to me, and can't see them recovering properly until ALL restrictions are removed.

Lloyds - I agree. And that day of a sizeable jump in the share price will almost certainly come approximately 24 hrs after I bail out. I'll give you a heads up :)

Stateside seems to be a repeat of yesterday - a sizeable drop (DOW and the airlines) but now recovered and up marginally up on the day.

Drakeford should be in prison with his son (check it out).

Wonder what the opening of US markets will bring? Did not see the bounce coming yesterday, so not sure if that will continue, or turn out to be a false dawn, and drag us down again. Now where did I leave that crystal ball....?

I gave up on AIM a while (and a pile of money) ago, but over the last 2 years plenty of FTSE 100 shares have behaved more like AIM shares.

American Airlines and DOW now both turned positive.

Thanks for that LloydsActuary - I may sleep a little better now. Interesting to see that rebound by AA/UA, and also by the Dow - let's hope we cop for some of that tomorrow: the last few days have been brutal.

Thanks for dragging that up, blue - was reading about this a few weeks ago, and it is a real problem - it's just that there has been so much else to focus on that I had forgotten about it. Just one more thing to worry about, like there wasn't enough already.

If Whitty, Vallance and co. do the modelling for any potential Russia/Ukraine conflict, then no doubt we will all be eviscerated by next week in a nuclear armageddon.
