Volatility in the markets at the moment is bonkers. IAG shoots up by over 3%, and then back down by the same in just over an hour. A couple of days ago my Lloyds shares went up by 3% in 20 minutes, then down by 4% in 30 minutes, and after jumping up first thing today, have just dropped 3% in an hour, as have RR. These are all FTSE100 stalwarts, yet are behaving more like some dodgy AIM share. I know that the volatility can provide some great opportunities, but I am finding it all a bit bewildering just now.
PS - still coming to terms with seemingly exiting the Covid nightmare, only to immediately stumble straight into a European conflict, with the idea of nuclear weapons being utilised actually being a serious possibility. Mad doesn't even get close to it.
