Is anyone actually positive about the fact we are drilling the B1 conductor? This could be a Company maker, provided they don’t miss again!
Doesn’t seem to be any excitement about this drill, I guess the over enthusiastic CEO and lack of results would do that.
But Kav is a junior mining company now drilling their best chance of making a discovery (based on data metrics).
At this price definitely worth a punt, fingers crossed and good luck all!
I understand your frustrations about the drilling delays and inconsistent messages from the Company. Ben is certainly feeling the pressure of the SP decline and really trying to spread the word.
However, the way I look at this is - at some point in the next few Months we will be drilling the KCB and KSZ, both of these have an outstanding chance of becoming a hugely significant discovery. Years of work have gone into modelling and analysis of both targets to ensure the greatest chance of success.
The current Market Cap is like 8 million, which is ludicrous really. But the volume here is miniscule, small little buys and sells. Until Kav can prove it can successfully match their extensive modelling by proof of discovery and not proof of concept then this will remain at these dull levels.
If this really is going to - quote Ben ' Year of Discovery', then Kav better get their skates on because the year is flying by. Based on the information and communication provided by the Company late last year, shareholders expect results this year. What keeps me hopeful is if we do make a discovery then the SP won't increase by 100 - 200%, it will be a much larger multiplier given how suppressed we are right now.
Chin up and good luck all!
My understanding is Kav have enough for a 4 drill KSZ program to commence in Q3/Q4. However, they can't afford to miss this time, hence why they are really working to ensure their research, models and analytics are spot on.
Obviously we don't know what is in the ground, but Ben wants to ensure we have every chance of finding out. As Ben said we need to hit that conductor, I am more than happy if it takes a few more weeks of due diligence to ensure we do when it comes to drilling.
As Ben is trying to articulate, we know far more about the KSZ than we did last year and the share price is 75% less. Agreed this hasn't been the best year so far in terms of share price, but it only takes one discovery for this to blow! That is why I am still here, they are going to drill B1 conductor and I will not sell until I see what they hit. At 6p a share this was worth opening a position, at 2p the risk and reward is phenomenal given the prize on offer. I have patience with this position, key is getting the drill to hit the B1 Bullseye.
It's been a tough year folks, hang in there and good luck!
Pauly - Understood and absolutely communication is important. But for me the key is that drill keeps spinning and Ben has kept his word on the drill targets. Like I said, there is nothing he can do once the drill is in the ground, just hope for the best like us. My trust will remain with the BOD whilst that drill continues to spin, because that is where the value is.
Ben will probably admit himself, he is not the most important person in the process of discovery, it really is the Geologists, data analyst and drill team. Kav have attracted and gathered a really knowledgeable team. Ben doesn't get enough credit for that. Behind the scenes a tremendous amount of work is ongoing, Ben's job is to essentially have the right people in the right places at the right time, not easy on a budget. We have a fantastic team, with great additions added since Ben's tenure, I am happy to let them do their stuff and hope it proves fruitful for everyone here.
I couldn't disagree with you more Pauly. Let's simplify this, I read comments most days from frustrated investors, blaming the BOD for a lack of trust etc...etc...etc.. Now I am not saying they are perfect, even Ben alluded to the fact he needs to improve the communications after the last drill. However, the fact still remains if Kav find what they are looking for at any one of these exciting projects, investors here will end up very happy indeed.
It is absolutely not the BOD fault they drilled through the middle of two Conductors, it would have frustrated Ben just as much if not more than investors here. But Kav learned and gathered so much data analytics so we get it right next time and intercept that 16000 Siemens conductor. Yes the communications afterwards could have been better, but that makes no difference to me as a long term investor. Am I worried about the SP at the moment, absolutely not. The volume is peanuts and will remain that way until Kav put something out that attracts attention, then this will as Ben said "go to the moon".
I am here and remain here because as a speculative exploration stock this has all the attributes and fundamentals to be successful. I would prefer Ben to talk with optimism and passion than the inverse. At the end of the day the data and drill results will speak for themselves, that is when you will make your money (or not...we will see).
Best of luck all!
I feel much better today than yesterday. Whether the Molopo deal not going through is a good or bad result, only time will tell. Honestly, I am just happy the drill will be spinning again shortly. This always generates Investor excitement. After the presentation/update on the Ditau plan (hopefully this week). I would expect a climb back up in price, even if relatively small.
I believe the entry price right now is very attractive given the projects and portfolio Kav hold Licenses for. Let's hope for a prosperous and peaceful few Months ahead. The start of this year has been rather downbeat and glum across both economic markets and World events.
So it seems Kav have been waiting with the Drill in the hope that Molopo goes through. Then drill Molopo first before Ditau.
I know Kav were rather bullish and excited on Ditau, to change their plans they must be seeing something really special at Molopo. I understand the opinion of some questioning why they are chasing further projects when we have enough exciting targets already. I am assuming if we do get Molopo we will find out why. Let's see how this unfolds in the days ahead.
As an Investor in a speculative exploration Company I expect some ups and downs. Yes we missed the conductor on B1, which was absolutely disappointing, on the plus side we managed to get further data analysis that essentially looks better than pre drill. This is exploration, things like this happen.
What I am struggling with is the inconsistent communication and the general direction of the drilling program. My understanding was we would be moving over to Ditau as soon as we finished B1. It's been weeks now and no communication on the plan. As a long term investor I am ok with drilling not always going to plan, as long as I know the next steps and can eventually see value creation. The share price is currently reflecting the lack of direction and drilling action. I am often the last one to criticise Management, particularly Ben, however as an investor I am confused about which direction we are heading.
Now this can easily be fixed by a presentation to share holders, or just a simple RNS. We are all taking a risk on this project that could turn out to be life changing, but we need that drill to be turning. Communication on when and where this will be happening next would be great.
Cox - What an odd rant/reply. As you pointed out with my 12 posts, I don't spam message boards. You seem a rather angry, immature and impatient investor, pointing fingers and getting annoyed when things are not going the way YOU want them.
Why on Earth would I try to contact the Company? Exploration takes time, if there was a big issue we would be informed. I just don't understand why you are pulling your hair out everyday. News will come when they are indeed ready, deal with it and leave your tantrums somewhere else. Or just sell, investors with your personality don't make money in this sector.
Cox - You add absolutely no value to this forum, everyday I read another moan like a child 'are we nearly there yet?'. Incase you are not aware you have invested into a exploration mining Company. The logistics and technical aspects of drilling unchartered territory is complex and takes time. Ben has not promised anything but to be honest and do his best for the Company and shareholders.
Yes we have been in a blackout period for a few weeks, obviously there are things going on in the background that us as shareholders will be told in due time. I think you have been spoilt with the constant communication from Kav and now you are throwing your toys out the pram when you don't get news when YOU expect it.
I've been investing in exploration for some time, patience is absolute key if you want to make money. Your posts are irrational, your expectations are unrealistic and don't represent the sector you're invested. Another moan tomorrow and will be required to filter you.
Last piece of advise...Keep calm and carry on!
I am not sure if this true, but rumors are Aussie Keith was flown to Botswana on Michael Moles private plane. They spent the better part of the flight talking about f'up rocks and Ben's tweets, whilst swigging Tooheys beers.
They will actually be dropping Aussie Keith down the hole head first with a really powerful torch to inspect the red spot from the closest distance possible. Apparently, when we get the tweet from Ben with a picture of Aussie Keith riding an Elephant out of the Kalahari Suture Zone beer in hand, that is the sign we've hit the motherload.
Until then we must wait!
I don't think Ben is intentionally testing Investor patience. I would imagine it is killing him not being able to tweet much or even conduct interviews. The good thing about our CEO is he does keep us Investors informed and seems to enjoy doing it. Now saying that I was hoping for a RNS this week, but it got me thinking what could be going on in the background.
My thoughts are they must have reached TD, if they haven't we would have most likely received an update detailing the problems/delays. Given this assumption allows an Investor with a little bit of time on their hands to speculate :)
But I am of the opinion that if they hit nothing of value, I think this would be apparent fairly quickly and an RNS would have been released probably last week. This might be wishful thinking, but I can't see any reason why they would delay this news. On the other hand, if they have indeed found a potentially commercial discovery, you can't blame them for taking their time to ensure they disseminate a detailed and thorough RNS.
Good things come to those who wait ;)
Correction - *you are / not your. Multitasking :/
Cox - Have you ever thought that this is Ben's personal Twitter account and not Kav's. He is not giving us clues, tweets are not targeting Kav shareholders, they are just from a guy that is entitled to tweet unrelated Kav tweets when he indeed feels the need to do so.
There are some really smart people on this forum, but I will admit Cox that on occasion I do find your comments rather strange. It seems like your one of those people that like to poke the fire, or in this case just stir up something that is not really there.
Seriously...you lot are really clutching at straws here. Ben's tweet has absolutely no relevance to Kav at all and provides zero indication of results or progress. Anyone that thinks otherwise is simply incorrect and over analyzing something that is not there. Follow the official channels and wait for an RNS.
To call Ben unprofessional and clam he shouldn't be liking or retweeting is simply ludicrous. Ben has been a stellar CEO since he started at Kav, keeping shareholders constantly updated through official RNS, interviews and question time. Leave the man in peace, he and his team are working hard behind the scenes to provide value for us shareholders, let's be patient and please stop this ridiculous tweet analyzing.
As I mentioned before, everyone has different appetite for risk. However, Ella - I don’t particularly agree with your negatives, I would echo Aussie Keith’s view. Whilst I am not a Geologist, I am a seasoned investor that works in the financial industry. The positives far outweigh the negatives here, essentially they have multiple targets and they only need to hit once and we are go.
As an investment decision it seems an odd time to sell, particularly at these prices. If we had a run up before results and you wanted to take some off the table that would make sense, but the value alone even without the B1 should be far higher. I mentioned before the price is what it is because of market sentiment, exposure and risk tolerance.
The only reason I would sell right now is if the data they have been working on for years was proven to be incorrect. But the more holes they drill the more confident they are feeling that they have got this right. Their models say there could be something of significant value at B1, seems odd to hold all this time and sell before the news. Last point here, if you are wrong Ella you could be badly wrong, if you are right you could just wait to the next drill. If you are good to hold, the upside is far far greater than the downside.
You can't really put much emphasis on the share price, the volume is so low even tiny amounts make it move either way. For share price to increase exposure and demand will be required. Ben has done great job trying to gain greater exposure for Kav, his constant interviews and updates are both relevant and detailed.
Unfortunately given the uncertain economic climate, the appetite for risk has dwindled somewhat, however certain investors can absolutely take advantage of this. I believe we all agree here that 5p is massively undervalued for the projects that Kav have lined up this year. When will we see true value you ask...when Kav start to de-risk the project. Initial steps have already taken place last year, the pieces are starting to fall into place...bit by bit.
The simple fact is investing in speculative stocks like Kav is not for everyone...being an entrepreneur is not either, but it's these two types of personalities that really make you money. Adversely it can work the other way. What I found is - if you manage your risk correctly, be smart not greedy, have patience and trust yourself, eventually you will succeed. Lets hope it's Kav that does this for everyone.
Have a great weekend all!
I agree with Fukurokuju79, the share price is so low given the potential. Their Market Cap is laughable, given the findings so far and future projects. What I really like that often gets forgotten is the amount of work and modelling that went into project, before the drill was even spinning. Now whilst pre drill modelling and surveys are normal this day and age, what Ben has confirmed on multiple occasions is that what they are seeing is what they expected (so far). This provides me with confidence that they have a high chance of finding a commercial discovery sooner rather than later.
Speculative plays take many different roads, some hype massively before results, particularly in Oil exploration - 88E is an example of that this time last year. Some remain under the radar and not illiquid until a big press release, the share price then explodes as everyone wants a piece. This is going to pop as soon as Ben can prove something of value.
This year my hope is Kav will be gaining far more attention, liquidity will improve and we will all be laughing at when the share price was trading between 5-6p. As with most Speculative plays this could be a life changer, the difference is here if you are happy to hold for a year we got multiple goes at it!
It is obvious Investor behavior to analyze and question sell transactions, particularly large trades. If this was a different type of play I would be doing the same…the reason I am not is the following:
- They have not reached the conductor yet, meaning no one knows what is there.
- I haven’t seen any insider selling….it has actually be the opposite with Michael Moles adding on the 10th Jan.
- Kav communication is very transparent and frequent, I feel up to date and in the know to make the correct trading decisions.
We can make hundreds of different cases why certain investors sell shares, but the reality is they are not privy to any additional information than we are. It often comes down to your risk and reward tolerance. I like our chances here and even if B1 disappoints we still have exciting projects ahead.
It’s easy to over analyze these Stockbox interviews, essentially no one knows what they will hit, not John not Ben not even the f***d up rock gods! What they do know is they have a very high Siemens, a detailed geological map and historical evidence that these two things more often than not lead to a commercial discovery.
However right now they know exactly the same as us until the drill starts turning.
I like the fact that this could be a game changer for the company, however if it’s not what they are looking for they have plenty more projects and targets, risk and reward is fantastic and that is essentially what speculative investors are looking for in exploration stocks.
Let’s get that drill bit turning and find out what is down there!
