Hi gwm121. I too started buying when the sp had precipitously dropped to around £4. I was suckered in to an extent by the fab dividends, but had read enough to feel confident. I too topped along the way to extent have 100 000 shares and a hellishly long way to go to get to anyway to par.
Onwards and upwards as they say and bw all and dyor
Like you Johnny, I too am a long holder. I have 130 000 shares bought over the last 8 years. Its been a “nightmare” watching what’s happened to this company with negativity ramping by the aforementioned chatters, especially Snapper. I ve resorted to not reading the chats especially last 3 months. I have no doubt that these guys are professional rampers and employed by the shorts traders!
Mine was a punt that I could afford to lose, but I held on as the intrinsic makeup of this company is solid.
Let’s hope we get to 100 p within 3 months, which would really make it shine further for future contracts.
Snapper et al aside, I have never understood what the authorities gained from the protracted drawn out bribery case. All it did was nearly ruined a multimillion pound company: thankfully only nearly!
Onwards and upwards please.
why would any institutional investor join this group claim, knowing fully well
a its only the legal guys who would benefit from the fees, or would they, especially if…
b such a case would effectively end pfc with nothing left to pay the litigants, with the lending banks 1st in the queue.
if i were institutional, i would surely ride my luck on all the positivities for the future.
finally, with a case like this, would hitachi have joined up in that winning bid with pfc, unless they didn’t fear anything from this opportunistic legal ****e!
I’m with you Gold. I have average sp price at £4. The divis in past years were great. Since covid and conclusion of SFO, pfc has been a trial of patience! I have held onto the 40K shares, despite all!
How on earth does it drop from 90+ to 60 odd within minutes earlier on??
I have half pfc for last 3 years. I have also seen the asfari family back it to the hilt, the last was £10M 2 years ago. Having piled in when sp was £3 ish, Inow foresee, over next 2 years, a steady rise with increased wins in contracts and possibly NOW or near future a takeover. It is a solid company with principles and excellence! I have bought a further 5 K shares in last week. Confidence indeed!
200 000? Glad to hear. I’ ve held 90 000 from 3 years ago, when the share inexorably dropped from 470ish to the current disaster. I’ve simply refused to read the postings on here the last 18 months, especially more recently with Snapper snapping negativities!
“But despite the company being embroiled in scandal, it has secured a £733.5m loan guarantee from the UK government.” Wouldn’t get such a loan guarantee if you were Thomas Cook: says something about the solvency of PFC? Or is it the fact that such a loan facilitates UK income and UK jobs?
Mark, you must know that there is no logic: if there was, we would all be mimicking the shorters and longers.
WG has risen some 60 p in 3 days. its one of the most shorted. i ve been with PFC for over 2 years and am no wiser.
the only predictor for a future price rise is SFO throwing the towel in. they have been ****ing in the wind so long, those towels wont be sufficient, so to speak
Hey_Arnold. I too couldn't resist buying more: already too overloaded on this company and increased by £ 20K more. Idiotic thing is the sp dropped 3 days ago to 385 and yesterday bounce down back to > £4 and the started sliding. I had resolved not to buy anymore, but at this price, it's a steal. And there's the healthy dividend declaration after the BH Monday. It's patience and time. I wouldn't be surprised if an offer came form the USA, with such a weak sterling.
Really, there isnt the barn door solid evidence except for Lufkin. Asfari was interviewed under caution 2 years ago, and no charge. the other 3 officers have not been interviewed. The judge is only there to exercise right/wrong/evidential/lack of etc, to aid the SFO and PFC to reach conclusion. I cannot even see a DPA at this time as its so murky. I am also amazed that the Unaoil issues haven't affected WG in any way!
we have been down this alley so many times! Over the last 18 m, i have simply ignored the SP and have also stopped buying short term, as too excitable and makes me then wonder about my majority PFC holding. I even thought of buying in early this morning when the SP was down ~ 20 P. And WG; why the fall?
BTW, squadrazura; a TO wouldnt be unreasonable, with the weak sterling and current SP. Whereas, 2 years ago, a TO would have been at 800p ish, now they could swoop in at 600 p ish. SAny thoughts, Warthog, Poketr and Wolfie, mark Bell et al?
