BT may not be in terminal decline but it’s value has reduced massively in recent years, hence the serious questioning of the merits of committing further to it through divi reinvestment.
Doing so now at the current SP may prove to be a winning strategy, however it hasn’t over recent years and there’s a case for saying the behaviour of anyone still following is a good fit for the list attributed to Rodney last night.
Don’t give up your day job Larry.
One of your better posts Rodney although the only thing I could take personal offence at was your football reference.
Having said that, I’m starting to worry that given your apparent extensive understanding of the ways of CWU people, in reality you yourself are actually an ex-member who has been cast aside (for getting behind with your subscriptions?), and that your constant reference to them is really just a pretence to hide the sorrow and bitterness you understandably feel at being rejected by them?
Chin up old buddy.
I don’t listen to radio 4 or read the guardian Rodders. That would be a sin.
I’ve always admired your candidness and honesty so I’m disappointed to hear you say you don’t think you’re better than others. That’s not completely true is it old boy.
You’re too kind Rodders.
The other half will be so pleased by your recognition when I pass on your regards.
Don’t wish to unsettle those that like to think they’re better but don’t we all live in some form of sin?
I was seriously thinking about re-investing my divi and was getting really excited about the thought of looking at my portfolio and being able to feel good about it showing a higher number but my partner went and ruined it by saying let’s spend the cash on 3 weeks on Marco Island.
She just has to make my life miserable.
Between the insults and paranoia you actually make some quite interesting and insightful comments Rodders but of late they’ve tended to be overshadowed by your manic rants about the cwu.
It isn’t them you should worry about blocking a bid for BT, in truth they have about as much power and influence as your friends on this forum.
The people you should be concerned about are your mates at the mail and the sun who will kick off some dumb ‘keep Britain British’ campaign nonsense that one of those unscrupulous politicians that you support will pick up, as a way to guarantee the votes of all those gullible idiots who keep eating up the c&ap they put out.
Or put another way…you have a choice what you read but not to tell others what they can or cannot comment on.
On a different note, you’ve been quite prolific last few days Rodders and actually many of your comments have been mildly entertaining, all though one when you started banging on about a man and a rat turned into absolute gobbledygook. Anyway, why suddenly so prolific- are you being given extra time in the prison library for good behaviour?
Thanks for your support NDN but as Rod acknowledges I know he just enjoys being the pantomime villain.
As for the debate on health and happiness, I wasn’t trying to sound like I’ve got something meaningful or profound, I’m simply saying that ultimately what matters is being happy and whilst it’s not always easy, if you can be that regardless of what else is going on in your life- great!
