Gordon Stein, CFO of CleanTech Lithium, explains why CTL acquired the 23 Laguna Verde licenses. Watch the video here.
Someone should produce a soap opera based on the characters on this site.
You’ve got Rodney who’s clearly mad as a hatter and of late become absolutely paranoid that the CWU are plotting to get him. Phatty who’s clearly become obsessed with Rodders and can’t stop himself from constantly sending messages to try to get his attention and win his admiration. Abject who is desperately trying to ignore the madness and maintain a calm and sensible approach, despite all the bombs dropping around him. Then there’s fluffy.
Meantime, keeping track of what’s actually going on at BT is about as interesting as watching paint dry.
Re-investing BT right now at current rates may or may not prove a good option in time, however anyone convincing themselves that it’s been a good strategy for ‘spending their cash earnings’ ’ in recent times is deluding themselves.
If people are in a position where they think the best thing they can do with their return is re-invest for the future rather than spend then that makes absolute sense. What I struggle with is an apparent obsessive, single minded view that the re- investment has to be with BT.
Don’t be so hard on him Rodderick.
He clearly is obsessed by you, his insults obviously just designed to hide his true feelings and relieve his frustration at not being able to express his feelings for you in a positive, physical way.
Don’t worry, it’s may just be a passing crush.
Seems to me like BT generally has a strategy limited to walking backwards slowly and hold on to what you’ve got for as long as you can.
Rather like the royal family and the conservative party in many ways.
So Rodderick…I’d very much like to see a bid, however with the SP at its current I fear it may not get to a reasonable level. An obvious downside would be if BT is bought out this forum, as the vehicle for you to demonstrate your enormous literary skills, intellect and compassion for mankind would disappear, but at £3 a share I could live with that.
Personally, I agree with the thinking that there will be forces that would seek to block it and expect the likelihood is that the prospect is probably what’s preventing a bid coming.
I’m not sure what you mean by a single infrastructure. Sounds like you’ve gone a bit commie and quoting the railway’s suggests you need help. A system of universal access with full compatibility and licences dependent on service standards encourages competition and innovation.
The CWU are about as scary as a traffic cone so I suggest you put your energy into something more worthwhile and productive than protecting people from them.
Fun?
Actually, I thought poker and fleccy were having a good debate but I understand you can’t resist a bit of na na na na na to keep the exchange going.
Just referring back to your kind efforts to define irony yesterday, do you not think there’s a bit of that in the fact that you (and others) have had a little pop at HM Gov today? The irony being of course that regardless how f£@in awful they are you’ll (and others) will still vote for them?
The answer to your question is obvious Rod…because when the SP goes back to where it was and beyond, which obviously it will, why wouldn’t it, if it was there once then obviously it’s going to go back, because obviously if that’s what it once was that’s what it’s really worth, and more….everything will have worked out. It’s a no-brainer.
Don’t be distracted by the fact that the case for re-investment has ignored the pre-requisite, ‘subject to the SP being stable/growing’.
And even so you’ve heard all about ‘once the fibre revolution has been completed, the network runs itself and never goes wrong, the pensioners have all copped it or said give my money to shareholders instead’, the SP will rise BT exponentially.
Don’t be fooled by all those expert investors who are just trying to trick you in to selling your shares so that they’re even richer when ‘true value’ kicks in about 10 years from now.
Thanks for the advice Rodney.
Any reason why they won’t ’reveal’ to you? Just tell them about your important role as the great defender of the silent majority and they’re bound to give you a full briefing.
Might even be worth talking to someone senior in BT too?
So basically utopia is coming.
When you say you’re here to protect the silent majority; what are you actually doing to change anything other than having the odd rant about things here Rodderick?
To get my vote I need to see action not just rhetoric old boy.
Yeah but if you reinvest your divi, rather than daring to actually do something enjoyable and worthwhile with the cash, you’ll be able to look at the value of your holding and pretend you haven’t bought more of something that keeps reducing in value.
Very disappointing that all those guys pumping more money in have let us down by not creating a meaningful upward shift in the SP.
