Lots of lessons to be learned for me here.
Mainly dont get emotionally involved in an investment... If reading on here then dont take anyone too seriously, as you dont know their motives and very few decent honest posters...Keep a balance of opinions. Its too easy to go along with the rampers and get carried away because you want what they say to come true but theyre the ones most likely to part you from your hard earned cash.
Also be careful catching falling knives. I had a decent average but bought heavily in the 8s then the 7s as the sp was dropping, thinking no way it will go lower..then in the 6s and so on. Pushed my average up instead of down..so confident was I and look where we are now.
Ah well only another 34 bags to go to get to £54 ey porky.
Not bitter but lessons learned..hopefully not too late but already in my 60s. Pension not looking too promising at the moment.
Sit on hands and hope we can at least get back to decent sp above 6 in time.
Nothing to worry about ive been waiting 4 or 5 years now and some much longer so a few more weeks before the drills start turning no problem. Ground probably not dry enough yet anyway after the rainy season so should work our nicely for (as fulmar said) mid june.
Meanwhile can imagine David Wood and his team plus Vassili prancing around with butterfly nets looking for the copper blue or picking copper flowers sniffing them and umming and aahing to each other.
Just my strange imagination.
After all the worries of court cases and licence changes and the regular cuckoo calls of the trolls, its time to relax and enjoy for a bit.
Well done to all those who kept the faith and big thanks to Nick for his amazing deal skills.
LTH but I just keep a watch here these days. You and others here have done a good job of counteracting all the bs from Ella and CB..amongst others
I see you (Fulmar) as the good..China the bad and Ella has to be the ugly...
https://youtu.be/XuUWq7qGSro
Theres two kinds of people in this world Ella...those with loaded guns..and those who dig.
..until we (LTHs) get to our targets. Been a long (long long) wait for many but just as things are going so well now..rid of costly deadweight Casa for a decent sum..court cases done and dusted, with Mumema Buminga swatted off and banished to Kalaba and a deal with a major, most likely Anglo American imminent, then its a very risky play to try trade this now but good luck to anyone brave enough..im not. After all this time im not missing out on the big payday.
This has to be one of the best risk/reward investments right now.
Apologies if already posted..

Thanks as always to Hillseeker, HarChris, B2HS2L for your well reasoned posts.
I too am guilty of catching a falling knife from the highs here Hillseeker and still kicking myself for it. Im not a HNW individual either so really need a good outcome here. A good chunk of my pension is here and at 62 I dont have a lot of time left to make enough for that comfortable retirement. Lets hope April brings good news for us.

Something isnt right here hamsters. Why is the share price still almost at cash level when we have a big buyer building a stake?
Whos selling, down at this rock bottom price?
Cant believe its LTHs and hard to believe traders are holding that many..almost 4 million shares and 6% of the company bought..maybe more by now and sp has barely moved.
Something is going on that were being kept in the dark about. I just hope its not some kind of stitch up by BOD's.
Could also be something that works in our (investors) favour so im trying to keep an open mind on it for now.
We can only wait and see and if we need to, we should organise ourselves and vote against anything that doesnt favours us.
GM has had enough out of us already. We dont want more of the same.
Dont want to sound too negative though. Lets wait until April and see what happens.
Bio's buys should be good news on the face of it but why then is the sp performance still so poor. I would have expected to be in the 3s by now and steadily rising if the buying continues but seems like theyre buying into our company too cheaply. They are already at c 6% of the company with sp still very much in the doldrums.
I would expect the company to start defending against bio being able to buy us cheaply, with 'possible' takeover plan, by use of share buybacks. Dont have to be big but regular to encourage buyers and push the sp up, to the benefit of us not just management.
If that doesnt happen and they continue to buy on the cheap, then it will start to look to me like theres some sort of collusion.
I hope thats not the case.
I dont know how many LTHs we still have but I suspect a lot, despite being quieter here now and many regulars dont post anymore.
I still have a large holding and well under water like most but have quite a high average, havent sold any and not willing to sell cheaply.
The BOD's will 'have' to put any takeover to a vote and if they want my vote, they will have to offer at least £8 ps, otherwise ill take my chances on £15 or more in the future.
Im sure everyone has their own figure in mind though and I can only hope its not set too low due to whats happened so far.
I still think the future is bright for Novacyt and im not against some sort of merger or collabaration but whatever it may be, it has to the benefit of shareholders.
I agree entirely TD2. Its really not good timing at all.
The sweet spot for nickel is maybe around 20k to 22k in 2 years for us. All this higher price will do (if it looks like being sustained) is tempt mothballed mines to start producing again and as you say, battery tech will gravitate towards looking for ways to reduce or cut nickel out of batteries if the price is too high.
Needs to drop back to low 20s at least.
Does anyone know who this regular 100k seller is. There was 100k sell the day I bought at 7.45 a while back and sp downhill since.
Good to see some positive price action at last on a bad day for the markets. Hopefully good news due soon.
"Anyone recall Fulmar posting that MM and co were going to jail AND going to have to pay significant costs to ARC. Not quite the story that played out."
Time yet ella..im guessing some real voodoo sh*t coming his way sooner or later.
Meantime we can look forward to some interesting times ahead for our investment here. Those of us who are invested that is..obviously doesnt include yourself.
BOL to all the good people here.
..but after doing more research, im looking to hold longer term. As long as the new discovery is legit and we can at least see a CPR soon, then I can see 50 to 60p ps being possible in the next few days and conservatively £1.50 to £2 this year..after that who knows but if the oil price holds up it looks very promising and once mc improves and dividends being paid, then IIs wanting in..well definitely worth keeping hold of these LT.
"Leondios Kostrikis, professor of biological sciences at the University of Cyprus and head of the Laboratory of Biotechnology and Molecular Virology described his findings in an interview with Sigma TV on Friday."
“There are currently omicron and delta co-infections and we found this strain that is a combination of these two,” he said."
"The new discovery was named “deltacron” after omicron-like genetic signatures were found in the delta genomes, Kostrikis said."
"Around 25 cases of the new strain have been discovered, he said, but it is too early to say how damaging the “deltacron” strain might be."
"Researchers around the world are discovering new strains as the COVID-19 virus mutates and spreads."
https://english.alarabiya.net/coronavirus/2022/01/09/Cyprus-scientists-discover-new-deltacron-COVID-19-strain
As much as I'd like to believe that Omicron will be our saviour and be the start of the virus becoming more of an occasional irritant, like colds and flu, I dont think that will be the case.
We dont know whats coming next, so dont drop your guard like politicians seem to be doing..esp the English ones.
In any case, testing will be needed for years to come IMO, even if at a reduced rate and Novacyt are well positioned to take advantage of it, as well as the general increase in testing and POC testing in particular.
As long as the BOD keep their eyes on the prize of midcap main listed mulitinational company then im happy to wait to be well rewarded for my patience.
Trader trash talk has no effect on me.
GLA LTIs.
I think the pro/anti vax debate has run its course and in danger of getting too personal.
I think we all agree that accurate testing is as big a part of the solution as anything else and this board is supposed to be about a testing company.
Test, test, test
