Well we wanted action from the new CEO and he has delivered, he has also shown where he wants more funding to come from , all within a week or so . The bod said they were listening to the shareholders last year and it looks like they also want more idea in the direction we should be going . Good appointment so far , lets just see what else he can come up with by the end of the year and hope this is nt just throwing us all a bone.

Is this action being taken so further drawdowns can be actioned?, how that works i have no idea?????

With not much news expected unti lthe stroke test update in december if we get some update or comms from the new CEO then that will give us some indication on how he is going to operate imo.

As he has taken a roll as director to i would be very surprised if some sort of share remuneration is not linked to the job as an added incentive to succeed , and his salary i would think will be in the same ball park as Budd as it would be him who was approached so in the driving seat , not bothered at all as long as he gets sales .

Gloria, i hope he does concentrate on sales as it suggests and the BOD are pushing for then funding will not become so much of an issue either way, but it wont happen overnight . Get the sp above 16p first, activate a few drawdowns to get some cash in the coffers while pushing for sales. Hopefully.

Stephen 11, this is a definate jump before he is pushed scenario, looks better on the CV. you dont have someone with those credentials just sitting on the end of a phone waiting for a call. Looks like the BOD did listen at the AGM last year and since and have acted , but please all give him a few months at least before you start jumping on his head and calling for it .

If he is as smart as his credentials make out he got the nod a month or so ago and will be hitting the ground running , only time will tell but the buys so far make it look promising.

Lionel1, with all the negativity spread over the last few months you seem to have invested quite heavily, it would be intersting to know what you see in the company that others seem to be missing?. Lol , i have yet to see a computer know how to build or snag a house , gone are the days when you worked your way up to be a site agent. I worked with one last year who was a car salesman but good on computers. Just because you were quoted £300 a day does nt mean you have to pay it unless you could nt find another trade to do the work . For me every asistant should walk every plot being worked in every day , that way you nip any faults before they get too far thus reducing so much time putting it right later on , you then get to know what tradesmen know what they are doing AND the tradesmen also know any little shortcuts will be picked up so you get it built correctly , BUT you need to know what you are looking at , even some nhbc inspectors dont know , and as for the so called proffesional snaggers lol, £600 for 4 hours work speaking into a phone lol.

Morning all, once again we are entering the " lets squeeze the tradesmen " time. The builders still want to make their profit so when the price of houses go down the tradesmen/women get hit and then we get the government will come out

and say that we need to build more houses lol.

Its interesting to see that for me the average age of site workers must be around the 45 years range and as it is not an industry where you can carry on working until retirement age with this new reduction in wages likely how many will get out this time and never come back. It is not just a los of skill but also experience that could be passed on and its not just in housing but the construction as a whole . As the construction industry is mainly self employed no one sees it as their responsability for training but in the near future i feel it is something that will have to be addressed .
