Same story for me. Anything under 50 is a buy and I then sell it on mid 50’s. I trade it, not interested in holding it for the dividend. I probably could hold for longer and make better returns but happy to take decent profits with this strategy.
I think it’s also unclear as to how this will work out going forward too and whether we’ll be any better off with the demerger. I have about 30,000 shares and am in a small profit. I am really unsure whether to hold on or sell now.
Can anyone explain or have thoughts on what the demerger will actually look like for investors? I’m not sure I understand if it’s good or bad for us? https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/markets/article-11795655/Melrose-set-tight-grip-GKN-spin-off.html?ico=mol_mobile_money-newtab&molReferrerUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.dailymail.co.uk%2Fmoney%2Findex.html&_ga=2.87398942.767550197.1676376271-1680171585.1667578049&_gl=1*za6qn3*_ga*MTY4MDE3MTU4NS4xNjY3NTc4MDQ5*_ga_XE0XLFFF16*MTY3NzUwMTc0MC4yODAuMS4xNjc3NTAzNDM1LjAuMC4w

Agree - And that demographic is willing to go out, hang in cool bars and most importantly spend money. Just what we need as investors to push this higher. Would rather be backing this then JDW with older clientele not wanting to rush back into bars just yet.
Agree that this is setting up nicely. If the WFH ruling is revised soon that will also help bars massively during the week. The below looks like good forward thinking planning and updates-
13th January (The Business Desk)
Leeds bar, Revolution Electric Press, is being transformed through a £300,000 programme of investment.
The changes will create an eye-catching open plan look and feel, centred around a vodka-land theme.
Other new areas include dining spaces, large sharing tables, a heated courtyard, DJ booth and dancefloor complete with lighting show.
Another addition to the venue is the exclusive Ciroc Best Seat in the House area, which will follow later in 2022 and is intended to take the meaning of “ultra-VIP” to a new level.
The overhaul has been orchestrated to meet customer demand for a more open-plan space, with plenty of room to enjoy pre-booked tables and VIP areas.
The bar is setting out to be the perfect venue to cater for lunchtime diners, after work drinks, evening get-togethers, and late night partying with the finest local DJ talent.
Behind the scenes, an enhanced kitchen will ensure Revolution’s food menu can be delivered faster than ever before.
Guests can also look forward to the bar’s most impressive ****tail menu to date, with 22 additions to complement the venue’s classic concoctions.
Future favourites include the Millionaire’s Martini, the Salted Caramel Colada, a Peach Margarita, and a Flat White Martini. The menu also features low and no alcohol options, such as the Saintly Pornstar Martini, which boasts all of the flavour of a regular Pornstar.
Diners can expect the same take on modern bar food Revolution has become well known for, including the Brooklyn Mac ‘n’ Chicken Burger.
Elsewhere on the menu, sharing platters allow everyone to join in, with veggie and vegan versions available alongside the classic House Sharer.
Revolution Electric Press manager, David Berry, said: “We’ve always been a venue where you can drink, dine and dance all under one roof and with this new look and feel we’ll be carrying on the party well into the future.’’
‘’Since reopening after the lockdowns we’ve seen a change in people’s socialising habits and expectations when it comes to going out and we want to make sure we can exceed all of them.
“With a huge focus around our ever popular bottomless brunch offering and most ambitious ****tail menu to date, this new design will bring together the two things we’re famous for – vodka and fun.’’
‘’We’ve also spent time reviewing our guests’ feedback and we know that they want great quality but getting it quickly so we’re extending and remodelling our bars to ensure we can increase our speed of service.”
The bar will reopen its doors from 14 January and a full relaunch weekend is planned from 28 to 30 January.
