Actually, based on the summary provided by THGambler a couple of days ago, £3.75m was spent on six (6) investments.

Hopefully a clearer update is forthcoming, I think I may drop vela a note to seek clarification.

This is interesting quote from RNS and ties into my earlier post.

Count them, there are only 6 RNSs relating to new investments. Are we about to hear of the next investment, which would then take total investee companies back up to 10?

Was expecting NPR to be disposed of after the current drilling programme results but can't complain about money in the bank. IRNS states that Vela has a portfolio of ten investments but I now make it 9, so which is it?

Portr was classed as a group 2 asset (alongside ARB and other assets). They were transferred to Bixx Ltd. Vela no longer has any economic interest in these assets.

RNS states SGS owns 9.11% but that is the pre placing holding. They now own 7.96% which is correctly reported on the Vela website.

These are interesting points, note the plural
potential license deals - Maybe an upfront cash payment plus recurring revenues over future periods.

Agree, another 6 patients could be recruited by Mid April. Potential for the milestones to be achieved in advance of dates mentioned.

MIlestones end of April for recruitment, end of June for initial results and commencement of commercialisation discussions and end of Aug for full results.

SP may drift in interim but i think it will be worth the short wait.

Botak, Thks for the response, very helpful to understand the wider picture and put the investments into context, holding long and strong.

The placing raised net £1.375 to add to existing cash at the time of £1.4m making total of £2.775. Investments since then amount to £766k which reduces cash to £2m. Warrants have brought in £45k which would probably be offset by operational costs. This ties in with my expectation that the funds were raised for 1 or possibly 2 major investments in the $500k - £1m range pre trial results. Just need JN to splash the cash!

I am liking the investments to date but if you want an AAA type mega rocket boost to the SP then you need to adopt the same investment approach. AAA don't do small investments, for example they have entered into a 125m Euro option as part of a larger funding round. If the trial results are successful and monetised, I see no reason why £ms won't flow in and allow Vela to take the next steps to some large scale investments of its own.

THGambler, good summary. A couple of the pre JN investments are worth including, they have decent value.

North Peak Resources (formerly Interbit) listed on TSX - 310,000 shares @ CAD$0.74 = ~£130k. Drill results were due Q1 so could land anytime now.

Weshop (pre ipo) - 71,429 shares @ 500p (estimate) = £357k. In Aug, an investor took out an option to invest further funds which would give them 10% at £25m valuation. Vela has 1.42% pre dilution stake so may reduce valuation but option period has expired and I see no confirmation it was exercised (or when potential ipo may take place).

Revolve Performance Limited & Disruptive Tech Limited - I can see no evidence of business activities here so Nil value.

Vela should be listed with its 3.2% as table was updated today, maybe JN needs to submit TR1?

Why does COIN have such a high valuation compared to KR1 when looking at NAV?

COIN RNS today states they have crypto valued at USD3,128,626. With 154m shares in issue @ SP of around 20p gives MC of £30m or > 10x of NAV. Whereas KR1 is sitting around 1x of NAV. Ignoring staking revenues. Is it the NFT factor or is KR1 about to EXPLODE????
