Here is another example that I find quite encouraging as to what may happen on results day. SNG released an RNS on 20 Jul outlining findings of their double-blind placebo-controlled covid trial with 101 patients. SNG went on to 5+ bag in 1 Day and even more over the following month.

Half way thru 28 day trial period for final patients recruited mid April.

St George Street is delighted to announce that recruitment for the ARCADIA clinical trial was completed on Friday 16th April, 2021.

Interesting development. I reckon it could be some sort of corporate restructure as there is a lot of cross holdings, options, CLNs and also includes ASLR. Maybe Vela is doing hostile takeover with its £2m cash pile.

My contrarian view is that I think SP reflects fair value at the moment. The combined value of listed investments are around investment price (ok, I get it that KNB is on a free ride with profits part of cash on hand now) and minimal value attributed to unlisted investments. So I believe that MC is > NAV but I don't see that it should be multiples at this stage. There are plenty of other similar investment type companies that you can compare against. This may change once SGS positive results are confirmed and commercialisation prospects announced and investors get a feel for what that investment may be worth to Vela.

I also believe that the outstanding warrants are a drag on the SP. There are 13.8bn shares in issue and 4bn outstanding warrants (22% of increased shares). Fully diluted comes in at 17.8bn shares and at current SP, that equated to MC of £14.25m. IMO, SGS is the only catalyst to get this moving in the short term. The £2m cash is yet to be deployed and next investment may invigorate the SP although may need some time to see how it plays out. On that point, RDGC BB speculating that Aeristech could be the RTO target - interesting.

Yes, it will be nice to get a bit of positive SP action soon. SGS initial results could be as soon as 6 weeks away (stated end of June but hoping they drop mid June). A deal or 2 in advance of that could be the trigger. Go Vela!

TM, seems like a good call. I think there was a specific reason to raise funds in Feb rather than just for general opportunities that may cross the desk.

ARB have some newsflow today which no doubt helps excitement there. Doegecoin down, Alts up, can only be good for KR1, eventually. KROEFF doing its bit to help, up 10%. .

Just noticed that the shares in issue in the Fundamentals tab above is out of date. I have just gone thru the placing and warrant data and believe current position is as follows:-

Warrants: 2,185,069,208 @ 0.06p (£1.3m) due by 01/09/21
Warrants: 961,538,461 @ 0.15p (£1.4m) due by 23/10/21

Worth taking note of when predicting future SP.

Surprising that <50% were actually recruited from UK after 6 months. Good move to add in Romania and Czech Republic to the trial.

Hopefully SP will now begin to reflect near term news and start the move northwards.

Indeed it would and could be spurred on by an as yet unannounced mega deal prior to trial results. Placing funds were raised over 2 months ago plus further funds raised by recent sale of NPR and bank balance now stands at £2.1m. The RNS stated that The Company has a strong pipeline of new investment opportunities so is something being worked on in the background? Interesting that RDGC, of which JN is Non Exec Director, released an RNS this week that mentions discussions with RTO candidates were progressing. At the same time, some may say they took the heat out of the SP to bring it down to a more acceptable value for a deal to get done. Could Vela become a funding partner in this transaction, time will tell. Expecting some exciting news soon.
