The share options would similarly be consolidated on the same ratio so no advantage.

Need to take into account prospect of further dilution, per RNS:
b) completion of a fundraising shortly proposed to be undertaken by Blue Air
e) the raising of an appropriate amount of new equity funds for the enlarged group (the "Placing")
Let's say 20bn shares at 100/1 consolidation reduces to 200m @ £500m mcap = 2.5p

95% of shares to new owners so could be tightly held for while. Although maybe a placing to go with re-listing to raise additional funds may dilute even further. I will take 2p short term but 7p sounds better.

Air Lease Corporation (ALC) has announced the delivery of one new Boeing 737-8 aircraft on long-term lease to Blue Air (Romania) on March 30. This aircraft, featuring CFM LEAP-1B25 engines, is the first of ten new Boeing 737-8s confirmed to deliver to Blue Air from ALC’s order book with Boeing. The nine new 737-8 aircraft that follow are scheduled to deliver to Blue Air April 2021 through 2022.

In addition to the new Boeing 737-8 aircraft that delivered today, Blue Air currently has six Boeing 737-800s and one Boeing 737-700 on long-term lease with ALC.

Wouldn't normally invest in an airline, I guess we now need to wait for re-list to see how market responds. Will be interesting to see further details on transaction, hopefully they are receiving lots of EU funding (non repayable grants of course).

Depends on how you interpret the deal. SGS gave up 8% (over a threshold) of proceeds in return for a cash/shares combo meaning that there is potentially a reduced level of future revenues to them for these shares. In theory, this should be win/win for both SGS and Vela.

Really hoping for a final day mega RNS with target co identified, rather than oops, we missed the deadline!

SGS holding revised to 7.95% post the Feb placing. I would think that there is a good chance they sell down once trial results are in and their lock in period expires. They are a charity so would represent good cashflow to them for future trials.

There are 2.2bn warrants @ 0.06p that can be exercised thru to 01 Sep. If results only come out in Mid Aug (my opinion), there won't be a lot of time to action, so will be interesting to see what happens here. Another 1bn warrants @ 0.125p can be exercised thru to 23 Oct. Combined, they could represent up to £2.75m cash to Vela. The warrants at 0.15p go thru to Aug 22.

It is an interesting connection isn’t it and seems to be more than just as a common Director. DiscovOre has conditionally subscribed for 24.64% of Angelfish/1graine in the recent placing. This could be a one off investment but also opens up the possibility for either future co-investments per the recent EML agreement or as you say, as part of future commercialisation deals.

Still curious about the Angelfish/1graine placing. Approx. 44% of shares now accounted for, so let’s see who else (Vela?) was involved in the placing.

Akers has the AAA connection alongside JN and he also has his fingers in lots of pies. Where that leads in this scenario is anyone’s guess but probably more success.

Johnski, thks for the update. I wonder if that is update on results or on revised timelines, the latter I suspect. I guess we will find out shortly, perhaps by end of next week?

I thought there may be a bit of news re next investments by now. I expected involvement with RDGC RTO, last day for a deal is t'row. Then with Angelfish/1graine, only one TR1 post their GM, so who else provided the placing funds?

Hope so, then I don't need to get up early each day to check for an RNS, can sleep in and have sweet dreams about what price post RTO :-)

IMO, there has been a change in the timelines & my contrarian view is that we are still 4 – 6 weeks away from an update. I refer to 2 quotes from the Angelfish RNS dated 11 June

Proposed EML Investment
It is expected that the results of the Phase 2 trials of the drug - the ARCADIA trial - to assess the safety and efficacy of AZD1656 in 150 patients with either Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes who have been hospitalised with COVID-19, will be made public by mid-August 2021.

As at date of publication, 156 patients have been recruited and have completed treatment. The data is now being assessed and outcomes will be reported formally on or about late July 2021.

These dates could only have been provided by Prof Evans/SGS. Why the 2 dates though? Maybe July is Final Results that then go to peer review or regulatory approval prior to public release? On this basis, I don’t expect any Initial Results but rather straight onto Final Results.

This raises the question as to why Vela has not updated the market. If SGS has not formally advised Vela of these timelines, then Vela is not in a position to comment.
