I’ve sold about 30m to derisk my position ahead of exercising 150m warrants. Others may have acted similarly - downside of the timing of trial results vs warrant expiry

I expect all press release and RNSs will be embargoed to be released on a set time/date. Let's hope Vela are in the loop rather than the usual 24 hr delay.

Good post tutter. It is a tightly controlled ship here, not a leak in sight. This price makes it less attractive for warrant holders to convert which would be quite dilutive for existing s/holders ~15%. JN is the man, indications are that AAA to re-list on Nasdaq, RDGC to own euro wide airline and as for Vela, join the ..... dots.

Jimmy, there are now just a little less than 2BN of these warrants left to be exercised by 01 Sept or they lapse. Yes, it may be a dilemma for them. They could exercise some now and almost guarantee a 15% return although maybe they can only sell a limited amount before results. Or they could take a punt and hold hoping for the best and a potential much larger return but at what risk. It will take a week or so for the shares to be available once exercised so will be interesting to see how this plays out. I hope they lapse otherwise we get ~15% dilution and we have enough cash to see us through whatever happens.

There is some useful info online about pharma trial peer review process. My take is that relevant Journal has received Trial results (hence confirmed date), editor will write report and then it will be peer reviewed prior to formal publication. All to play for now.

That is an interesting thought. Let's get the RTO sorted first, then we can sit back and wait for the multi £bn offers to come in.

Announcing Results Day 2 weeks in advance should give a lot of confidence as to what to expect. If the Results were adverse, you would think they would just say so and call it quits, presumably no need for a peer review. That's my take on it, expecting a lot of share churn pre/post results but hopefully leading to an upward SP trend here, we need it.

Indeed it is Jimmy. Are results released prior to or at same time as published in journal? Anyone know which journal and maybe this dictates timeline?

At the end of each trial, the data is gathered and analysed in an objective and methodical manner so that data quality and integrity is ensured prior to publication of the results. For each trial we prepare a full scientific manuscript describing our clinical trial and the results obtained, which is then submitted for publication in a peer reviewed journal.

Is it better to have 2BN warrants lapse and miss out on £1.2m? If Results are positive, then I say yes. Another 961m warrants at 0.15p worth £1.44m can be exercised by 15 Sept so these ones have time on their side.

On balance, I take this as a very positive sign. They had to RNS after Excalibur released their statement which aligns with their initial timeline even though Vela/Igraine mentioned late Aug. Reference to warrants is interesting, do they take the punt or not in advance? Board appointment next? Could be some interesting FOMO SP action in the days leading to release of report.
