All good, just a little quiet here til next news drops so the wait continues. Looks like news is slowly getting out there into the science/pharma world. When/if deal is done, this will hit global mainstream media big time and SP will go bonkers, could even hit 0.1p. LOL.

This was the theme of my post yesterday. For all intents and purposes the trial is now complete, recognised at a reception at No. 10 and so on. But there is further analysis and a peer review to complete. Can a deal precede these actions or as I theorise, perhaps an MoU in the interim? Accounts next Thurs so perhaps that will give an indication of direction.

This is the one from 20 Oct 20. Doesn't this just refer to the warrants themselves, once exercised shares will be admitted to AIM?

In addition, 961,538,461 warrants to subscribe for new ordinary shares in the Company (the "Placing Warrants") are to be granted to subscribers in the placing, whereby each subscriber will receive 1 warrant for every 2 Placing Shares subscribed for. The Placing Warrants are exercisable at a price of 0.15 pence per Placing Warrant and will be exercisable until 23 October 2021. The Placing Warrants will not be admitted to trading on AIM or any other stock market and will not be transferable.

Now there's a thought.
Next warrants are 961,538,461 @0.15p = £1.44m set to expire on 23 Oct, so exactly one month from now. I am sure JN would like to see some of that action to boost the coffers.
Going to need some exciting news to get north of that SP or another twitter P&D to get some price action.

Looking back at the recent article earlier this week, it mentions that researchers will need to undertake further analysis when cellular immunology results become available, before the study results undergo peer review. Could we see a MOU earlier to outline the agreement framework prior to these actions being finalised alongside a formal commercial agreement? Need something to get this SP moving in the right direction.

Nice to get some coverage but their assessment and understand of the SGS investment is a little skewed.

I found that this article was a lot clearer in terms of the findings, potential for the treatment and the path forward than the RNS itself. Goes some way to explain the SP movement and the little negativity we are seeing.

It has gone way beyond just diabetes now, "They also hope to trial the drug in people without diabetes potentially benefiting an even larger group of people such as patients with long Covid." Global Market just expanded exponentially.

Great article, news is getting out there and those that need to know do. Just a matter of time now.

Not saying it will happen, but there is specific mention of it in the original RNS (see below). Surely that would be an RNS event so until we hear otherwise, 8% it is. The other thing to note is that the £19.2m that is often quoted is the minimum baseline, there are further costs to be added, just not yet quantified so could be north of that number. The SGS/CIZ partnership includes the companion diagnostic so yes, different terms and a like for like comparison with Vela is perhaps too simplistic.

Oct 20 RNS - Under the terms of the Agreement, pursuant to either commercialisation route for the Asset, SGS will pay Vela 8 per cent. of proceeds received by SGS in excess of £19.2 million and after deduction of sums payable to the major pharmaceutical company and certain funders, and provision for taxation (the "Economic Interest"). Vela's Economic Interest shall be renegotiated should SGS receive further funding from third parties in the future.

Overall another positive step in the progression of AZD1656 to commercialisation.

From the CIZ RNS in June re the MOU - SGS's strategy is to progress existing clinical assets through Phase II medical trials, before licencing them on for Phase III trials and commercialisation.

I am curious to know how SGS can quantify £5m at this stage, they must know something. Also where are these monies coming from, could they in any way be dilutive to Vela (& other partners)? There was mention of this in the original statement regarding raising additional funds.

Anyway, CIZ have put up £200k in total for potential £5m. On same basis, that would be about £60m (may not be paid all upfront) to Vela, which is fair since they got in early doors directly in the Trial. What does that do to SP at 5x today's MC ?

AZN do not make any money from vaccine and get sh*t on for their efforts. I am sure they would like access to a money making covid treatment. The last couple of announcements have moved on from general commercialisation comments to licence agreements. I will stay positive til I hear otherwise :-)
