TR1 issued for CIZ who also have a deal with SGS. It was not Vela buying in, question is whether this could be a bullish sign.

It was a little tongue in cheek but agree, I would like to see more investments like Aeristech with long lead time to IPO or SGS trial which us investors don't normally get a sight of. I believe that is where the true value could lie with this sort of company. The other investments are made just as companies IPO and we could easily have invested ourselves directly at IPO price or as it turns out, even lower in some cases.

Best use of funds would be share buyback 4bn @ 0.05 alongside Management taking equity in lieu of fees to conserve cash til investments show a decent return.

Yes, many posters have been contributing here for 12+ months. There is only 1 or 2 intent on disrupting. You yourself rocked up only last week then made an absolute outrageous claim (intentional or otherwise) on the weekend that was clearly wrong. Supporting MG says it all really. How about providing some worthy research on the Trial or other investments and redeem yourself :-)

@THGambler posted on 26 Nov outlining timeline for SNG last year. Their Peer review was delivered 16 weeks after trial results, we are now into week 13 (since 09 Sept). I reckon we are now entering the sweet spot mid Dec to mid Jan - bring it on.

Where did the notion of an NDA come from or is it just assumed? Makes sense if their are commercial discussions underway, the whole trial has been closely guarded which is good. I quite like the silence and lack of rumours (jimmy excluded of course) whilst Professors Evans/Martin do their thing quietly in the background. Peer review another day closer and then hopefully conclusion of commercial deal. I don't think we will know in advance of official RNS.

Interesting, even with the level of issues on safety, effectiveness and potential for creating more mutations, this anti-viral pill still passed the vote but only just.

The FDA’s Antimicrobial Drugs Advisory Committee voted 13 to 10 to recommend emergency authorization of molnupiravir.
Most committee members said it was a difficult vote, with unanswered questions about the drug’s safety and potential impact, however unlikely, on driving virus evolution.

The UK is the first country to approve this anti-viral pill and has ordered 480k courses.

With this latest investment though, the BoD may have utilised all of their Vela allocated time for the month. Don't need specifics, just a holding RNS as alluded to would be most welcome.

We knew there was another investment earlier this year but did not know the details. Only in the Final Results did Vela disclose an investment in Rural Broadband Solutions PLC that was made 12 months earlier in Oct 2020. How can an Investment company not disclose an investment for a whole year? Haven't even bothered to add this (or CODE) to the website investments list yet after all this time. Why they would want to invest a small amount in an illiquid stock listed on Aquis is a whole other issue.

This is a wider issue than SGS Trial. The BoD are ineffective and quite frankly seem disinterested. They have done nothing all year to instil any confidence for the SHs to hang onto.

There has been no mention of a Peer Review in an RNS. It was first highlighted in the 20 Sept UCL article, without which we would be none the wiser ourselves. The RNS mentioned immediate commercial licence discussions and/or fundraising for further clinical trials. If a Peer Review is a pre-condition, then Vela should provide an update as the general market most likely unaware of this.

Additionally, the FDA flagged a concern that Merck’s drug led to small changes in the coronavirus’ signature spike protein, which it uses to penetrate human cells. Theoretically, the FDA cautioned, those changes could lead to dangerous new variants.
