Well Franky who knows what the shorters will do next. I have noticed that MW are still showing 0.67% short whilst WQ for the moment have dropped below the reporting threshold to 0.47% - still considerable holdings for this stock as we have previously established. I do not underestimate the skill of the shorters neither do I think they are stupid, they have done well here and have given many myself included the opportunity to buy in at ridiculously low prices. They are not all out gamblers and will realise probably better than many of us that the tide has turned and the sheer wall of news and expectations are all positive - I would prefer them to buy back the borrowed shares and close their positions - that would remove the doomsday scenario for them of the share being suspended whilst they are still exposed and raise the shareprice in the meantime but whatever they do the future is bright for this share and when a deal is struck the true value of our shareholding will be achieved. If I am wrong in the short term then that will provide another buying opportunity over the long run I am not wrong and a deal will be done that transforms the shareprice and the future of this company.

The right thing to do under the circumstances would be to acknowledge the speculation and suspend the share price pending conclusion of the agreement with GoT and possible sale to the Chinese. This would screw the shorters completely and when/if the share was relished it would be rerated - more likely never to relist and sale/repurchase completed.

Possibly of course but the price will jump on deal. Good for us because that will set a better price level for us to determine the true value of the offerl. I still think it will be ABX handling the process.

Of course - any buyer would want to know the deal.

Hi Franky, there is an old saying with regard to Africa- Thought up by Tanzania - developed by Uganda and implemented by Kenya. I agree with your friend in the NGO the fact that it has taken so long for a deal to be worked through shows the GoT commitment to a long term deal that works. Goodness knows we all need it sorted but the delay is causing them more pain that it is actually causing us. We have all learnt a lot.

No one knows for sure and I would be very interested in others reasoning - here’s mine. 1. Shorters need to buy back 5 million shares 2. Share price dropped from over £5 to about £3 on news of GoT concentrate ban 3. Share price dropped from about £2.50 to £1.50 on news of 1.9bn tax charge 4. ACA have confirmed confidence in their stated asset value 5. Chinese brought 50% of similar producing mine for $1bn 6. JT reported as saying almost 100% likely Chinese will become involved 7. Deal with RRS makes the whole group stronger 8. As Barrick have conducted negotiations they are in spotlight to make sure minority shareholders happy with deal I could go on but let me put those things into a share price. Today 1.33 shorters buying back will push price up to £2 - the 1.9bn tax bill has gone - deal with GoT doubles price to £4 we have been spending shed loads of money to get the mines ship shape so production should increase but let’s say Chinese only pay a 20% premium takes share price to £5. If Chinese don’t buy then ACA will be part of group that includes RRS who are undisputed leaders in Africa. If Chinese buy then we will get a premium sooner but otherwise we will be brought up by Barrick when the dust has settled - if they do the same sort of merger arrangement that they did with RRS then at worst that would be 2/3 ABX for each ACA but then full part of what is/will be the absolute best gold mining outfit in the world. And before I am shot down I have not forgotten the $300 million to be paid over time or the 16% somehow to be given to GoT my figures are loose enough for the reality of that to be swallowed up. So I think over £4 more likely over £5 but Supers £7 is achievable.

Although I expect the figure may have fallen over the last couple of days shorters are still showing with 1.27% that is over 5.2 million shares for them to buyback and return - they had better get on with it!

Definitely will not be Barrick buying that would be dynamite - BlackRock have their tentacles everywhere and trying to understand their manoeuvring will just send you crazy. I would not be surprised to see some big players either increasing or joining - the future is bright.

I agree that the fate of our company has been out of the control of our board for quite some time. I also agree that the GoT can or should only view the recent changes and comments as positive - wherever the future control of ACA lies it will be a new and rejuvenated enterprise. I think the shorters will be buying up stock as quickly as they can trying not to let the price runaway with them - they have 3 or 4 million to secure - time is not on their side.

Morning Pat trading at about £1.32 as I write - you must be at break even now - well done - hope you are not even thinking of selling?

MB is my idea of a Gold Man with JT the perfect business man and their respective roles of CEO and Chairman suit them. They are obviously strong characters and I see MB taking the lead as a CEO should and JT slowly stepping back whilst at the same time being the perfect balance in what will be the biggest gold company by far and with MB the most dynamic. If we could only get GoT and therefore ACA sorted I would be very happy either being given or buying ABX shares. The press keep mentioning the $1.9bn tax bill - perhaps they could remember this is no longer around- rumour suggests we have won the arbitration process and everyone’s best interests are in getting the final deal agreed with GoT- shaking hands and moving forward. Let’s hope for another good day.

Super, I admire your loyalty but the guys in charge now have always been interim and frankly have done nothing to make me feel they have been fighting our corner and they have not kept themselves and by extension us informed. I am sure they will be rewarded by a job perhaps running the mine but sorry they are not good enough to take us forward in an executive capacity whatever happens- I mean no disrespect to them but that is how I feel.

Sorry meant to add that we wrote down our asset value at the year end by three quarters of a billion £ to make this very situation easier to swallow.
