RE: Frank news- Keep Positive-12 Nov 2018 14:39
Franky you do not fool us anymore. You claim to have bought in at around the same time as I did at about £2.90 - you have encouraged our empathy by claiming that you were going to have to sell before the rise and looking back over your posts every positive statement has been shrouded in negativity. I was able to average down and now like many others I am in profit you are either shorting, trying to talk the price down to buy in or quite honestly have the worst investing approach I have ever come across.
Your latest attempt was to criticise operating in Tanzania presumably you would prefer us to be located in Cornwall or Wales but unfortunately gold is where you find it. From our perspective Tanzania is the Wild West but gold is found where it is found and lots of places are much worse than Tanzania. The delay around striking a deal has cost the people of Tanzania a fortune after concluding an agreement we are more likely to have many years of solid production than not, but theses are the risks of mining - every industry has its own risk these are ours.
I have lost track of when you believe a resolution will be reached but thankfully you admit that one will be found but now you think that ABX will not give us fair value although I think you now accept it will be well north of where we currently sit and much more than the 50p even 5p you previously suggested.
Private investors will not determine when or how much - we only own 2.8% between us - so why are you bothering - could it be the shorters desperately need our shares?
I have looked back to establish that the IPO price was actually £5.75 gold was trading between $1100 and $1400 at the time, an offer of this amount would in my view give us a clear premium on where we are now and remove any argument of what may or may not have happened in the past be that real or contrived by GoT - sorry Super but I think this is about the maximum we could reasonably expect and to be honest we are more likely to get it because of the way things have played out in other circumstances we would not have anticipated much more than £4. This will of course follow a settlement with GoT. MB has confirmed he will start talking to GoT straight away and the signs are that ABX will want to buy up our stock soon after the merger is completed on Jan 1st. JT has said almost 100% certain Tanzanian assets will be sold to the Chinese - I would prefer if this was a partnership but as Barrick Group hopes to have just 6 Tier 1 assets then I think an outright sale is more likely - I will not be involved in making the decision and I am simply speculating on the information that is available - I remain invested because I remain positive if you are not then sell up and move on.
